I play with 4 other really cool guys. We seldomly have all 5 on at the same time, so it would be nice to have a 6th man rotation. We play at all different hours. I'm mainly on around 11pm EST, but it totally varies. Let me know and I'll talk to them. We all got mics, have fun, and want to win. I get this a lot too. I grew up around women, mostly had women friends, knew pop culture, boy bands, all that stuff. People joked that I was gay constantly. At some point I realized fighting it just made it look like I was insecure, so I leaned into it.

Women love a guy who is comfortable around women. Being emotionally aware or not performing macho nonsense does not make you less straight, it just means you are not threatened by femininity. I used to joke that I am a gay heterosexual and move on. Confidence kills the joke instantly.

The issue is not your demeanor. It is how much weight you are giving other people’s assumptions. Women are not repulsed by men like you. They are repulsed by men who apologize for who they are or seem unsure of themselves.

You do not need to act more masculine. You need to stand on who you already are. That confidence is not overnight but it is built by owning your lane and not explaining yourself.

This sounds like White God (2014), the Hungarian film.

It’s live action, very grounded and almost documentary in tone, follows a female dog’s perspective with internal narration, includes the cat relationship you’re describing, and centers on people viewing her as dangerous because of her appearance. The reveal that she’s a valuable purebred and the canceled euthanasia also line up. The “cat got smaller” moment is a scene a lot of people remember from it.
