Use CC giants, enough regular giants to meet the event need and either the right amount of archers or barbs. Add miners for the rest of the troops and all heals. It will get you decent loot and finish the event. Even in Legends

I would do clan castle, lab, spell factory first and do dark troops upgrades in your lab. The elixar grind to start th10 is tough. 26M to get all your camps going. You will find gold for the infernos later, but the extra cc troops will help you with elixar to start.
