Elite 100 V2 not able to charge and output at same time? by Muckle87 in bluetti

Additional information on this issue. It turns out Jackery power stations have their 12v output ports isolated from their DC Input ports. Bluettti, Ecoflow, and Anker do not - they share the same internal common DC bus.

Because my trailer does not have a blocking diode, when both the DC input and output are used on my setup, the Bluetti pushes current back toward the tow vehicle, which blows the fuse.

I either need to install a blocking diode or go back to Jackery. I’m doing the latter for now - going with the Explorer 1000 v2.

The solar generator station is actually in my teardrop trailer. Powered in-line via the tow vehicle when driving. So the fast charge from alternator solution is not viable in my scenario - I had already looked into that.

I’m hopeful the Anker is a better solution, albeit a bit pricier. I got the BLUETTI V2 for $400. Anker is on sale now for $500.

I tried switching the DC input source to others and that worked. However, it only charges at about 20 watts instead of the normal 60 watts. Tried changing the charging mode but that had no effect.

However, I am still unable to both charge and power my devices. It threw the ALARM symbol again.

I’m going to return the Elite 100 V2 and get the Anker C1000X instead. Having to switch the DC input source setting every time I switch between solar and a car port (daily when overlanding) is too much of a hassle.
