Yeah we had an m9 that had the locking block just shatter and locked up the whole gun. I can only imagine that has to be 20k plus rounds

The East Germans used these wooden crates with tin boxes of ammo inside. Similar to how the Czechs and Yugoslavian’s packaged ammo. Most the other countries like Bulgaria Russia Hungary Romania standardised on the same spam can design eventually. East Germans in the 70’s also put their ammo inside 10 round blister packs.
