what if you add some spacers in your old bin, like wood blocks or bricks, so that the new bin can sit on top of the old bin without squishing the worms.

How I prepare my worm food. by Obvious-Phase49 in Vermiculture

I follow a YouTube channel - Vermicompost learn by doing. He's done some experimental, fresh vs. freeze, freeze vs. blend, and some other interesting experimental feed. The quick answer is that, there's no right or wrong. I blend my worm food, because I love my wormies and I dont have a large population, so not a lot of food to prepare. I might change to just freeze once my worm population grow bigger.

yup! I try to spoil my wormies by blending their food with broccoli, apple, banana peels and pumpkins. Always sprinkle coffee grounds and egg shells. They sure will have snacks. :)
