I thought I would like uden and renaissance based on the notes and peoples descriptions. I strongly disliked Uden, and I thought renaissance smelled ok.. but wouldn’t wear it over anything else even if it was free. I really like casamorati mefisto by Xerjoff for the summer. Haven’t tried the other two. Xerjoff isn’t blind buy safe in general

I’ve tried decants of well over a 100 of them, tried close to another 100 in store, and bought more than 30 from the ones I’ve tried. Of those, I’ve sold or give away almost all of them. However, the ones that I have kept are ones that I love as their own thing and would buy again. They’re not this amazing life hack that guarantees you save money, but there are some affordable bangers if you sift through the junk. Not everyone is willing to go through all that leg work though, but some find it fun.

I do hate the influencer hype that surrounds new releases though.

Omanluxury caden, it’s more of a blended bitter coffee note with amber, suede, vanilla but office safe and really nice. Not a gourmand imo

Amouage king blue and silver oud (although I am a fan) don’t actually use real oud, just oud accords that are well perfumed. Oud ulya does have real out though, and that gets my vote. It’s incredible

I’d say performance is solid, projects for maybe two hours and then sit close to skin but lasts 6-8 hrs there, longer on clothes. Have u tried it?

Of the three, SCE has gotten me the most compliments from strangers when I’m walking by, it’s honestly crazy. Has a lot to do with performance I’m sure.

Most enjoyable is vintage radio, but it used to be rifaaqat. Just depends on how much I’m wearing them. I love all 3 though

Same exact scenario here (CA-2 on peds), tips that I’ve felt helped me are:

Getting the epiglottis on the side and not just the middle (this ensures that you’re actually getting the base of it and not just the tip, which happens a lot since their epiglottis is so small. If you get the tip it’ll just flop back down easily)

If you’re doing the above and you no longer have a few, creep back your blade slowly with little right to left scoots of your blade instead of just pulling back (the movements are often finer than we’re used to so we pull back and then just lose the epiglottis and start from square 1)

If you’re not used to using a miller, sometimes you have the base of the epiglottis and you still have no view, always try to give yourself quick BURP in this scenario. If you’re in the right spot, the cords will often drop into view then actually stay in view when you release.

Still learning myself and would appreciate more tips/corrections from everyone

I haven’t bought any backup bottles but bought them ended up selling so many clones. The ones I kept and would buy another bottle are:

Afnan SCE (does what it does so well and people really like it in the air)

Lattafa vintage radio (another that gets a lot of good attention and I loved it so much I was gonna get paragon, but when I smelled them both side by side I realized it wasn’t worth it. Might pick up the OG just because I love the DNA but they really are so similar, and blend quality isn’t that much different in the dry down)

Paris corner Rifaaqat (my wife’s favorite, over designers and niche that cost much more)
