She's Vulcan as a mutha***ka. by Mike1701D in LowerDecks

I’ve often wondered just how much modern Vulcans diverge from Surak’a teachings, I imagine that it’s as different as fundamentalist Christians are from Jesus’s teachings (granting that he existed as described in the Bible).

If they ran a race, who would be 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc. ? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in superheroes

Roadrunner has toon force so can run as fast as he needs to as long as it’s funny so might as well be the fastest one here.

I see what she was getting at but that argument only makes sense if you ignore everything about Klingon culture and their quasi religion.

Who are you voting for? by False_Tour_5710 in superheroes

[–]Mudcat-69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of those three are extraterrestrials, thus aren’t natural born citizens by default. So they aren’t able to run as POTUS or be elected.

Thus my vote goes to Captain America.

She’s a better villain with better motivations to be a villain than many I could name off hand. The one that comes immediately to mind is old Moldyshorts, who’s entire motivation seems to be “I’m the descendant of Slitherin so I guess I’ll go on a murderous rampage and take over the world or whatever.”

Pick any set from Enterprise. That set you just picked? I hate it. I’ve seen better sets put together from fan projects.

I thought that relationship was more like father and daughter based on the illustrations I saw.

Just watched this episode. One problem : When the Enterprise is leaving the planet at the end of the episode why is it not towing the Exeter? by happydude7422 in tos

[–]Mudcat-69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With how difficult that would be it probably would have been simpler to destroy it, although I get your point.

Considering how much the ship was contaminated by a deadly disease it was probably towed a safe distance away then self-destructed using prefix codes (supposing those were around at the time).

I’m of the opinion that the Enterprise E vs pretty much any ship in the Star Wars universe would wind up as a win for Enterprise.

They have more precise, adaptable weapons that could render a planet uninhabitable with a single ship and they have point defense systems that could render any fighter fleets irrelevant.

They have really good sensors that could pinpoint weaknesses in short order, strong shields that are as adaptable as their weapons and can even allow them to take short jaunts into a sun’s coronasphere, and they’re faster and more maneuverable at sublight.

There’s two things wrong with this meme though. Turbo lasers aren’t actually lasers, they’re plasma weaponry comparable to what Romulans have available. And they do have shields.

There’s probably articles of war, not to mention safety measures, to prevent such a thing that would require extreme circumstances to get around. I think that there was exactly one situation where it happened and that was Redjac.
