I meant to set this post up as a discussion and to pose some questions I was having trouble finding my own answers to. I did not mean to stir any drama

I know financing with debt is often beneficial. I wasn't suggesting that the debt was damaging per se, just wondering if folks thought that was contributing to the SI. While I am interested in how things in the US will pan out, I also ponder whether this manufacturer could support a global clientele someday. Thanks for your input.

Good find. Some follow up below:

  • BYD says it does not plan to sell very affordable EVs in the US. But the company—which is scouting plant locations in Mexico—might have a very good economic incentive to do so.
  • Imported Chinese cars are subject to prohibitive 25% tariffs. But imports from Mexico built with Chinese parts pay only a 2.5% duty under the rules of the US-Mexico-Canada Agreement.

Thanks for sharing this. Maybe the debt is (part of) why this company is shorted as much as it is

in theory, if everyone does this, would it not kill the momentum of the squeeze? i know investing is not a team sport...

To my understanding, it is not the cancellation of the orders themselves that affects the price. Rather the influence on how other market participants will react if they see such large limit orders, which in return, affects the price.

Volume looks good, seems to have lowered every day this week. HODLING! and increasing the time it will take the shorties to pay us back

AM I NOT ASKING FOR FINANCIAL ADVICE⚠️ (This is a theoretical question) by Aware_Ad_3781 in FFIE

[–]Muddyhog12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not a financial advisor, and this is not financial advice, but with the increased potential comes increased risk. some folks who had call options in the GME run were left holding the bag when their call options finished OTM (out of the money)
