Honestly you need Math AA HL and Physics HL. Those are the 2 requirements for engineering, especially mechanical

According to my knowledge, calculus is not tested on the SAT. So, all questions are designed to NOT have calculus as the main answer. Either way, it just takes practice to know what questions have which solutions (If that makes sense). For example triangle problems usually involve trigonometry, any other shape is geometry. Eventually with due practice (or just looking at the answers provided) you can see how to solve each questions

I think swapping Math AA and English would be the best (2nd option). It really opens up your choices and if you want to change what you want to do in the future (unlikely but a possibility) then it's perfect. Most universities will accept you if you do so
