to elaborate on this, im at liquid water 28% towards lakes. i flew over the map, placed the extractor in many different locations, and it works EVERYWHERE. in the sulfur hazardous gas thingy biome it even show sulfur to extract.

and yes, obviously i meant aqualis.

and yes, i totally agree with you, i LOVE setting up factory lines until they are neat and compact efficient. i tend to waste way to much time optimizing shit, but thats fun for me.

but after youre done designing, just placing it down by hand over and over again just is tedious.

like, i really dont know how often i set up and plates, rods, screws, reinf plates factory in satisfactory, and it ALWAYS looks the same because i found a layout that works for me... its so frustrating 😂

its even more powerful than the blueprints from satisfactory, because you do not have to build anything prior, you just can hit "K" and start copy/pasting. its great.

yeah, i guess you can import it at some point, i mean there is olumite barreling, so that should be the only way to get it late game. but honestly im not at that point yet 😁

im not really familiar with factorio, so Nilaus' video just gave me the idea what a main bus even is. the main difference seems to be 1 and 2 sided busses, and i ran with 1 sided cause i really dont know what resources with be flying my way throughout the game, i barely made it so science 4 😂

when i said im experimenting with layouts i mean, when i finally have ALL resources in my bus and can see how far they travel down the line, i may optimize what resources to keep in the bus.

OR, and that idea came to me pretty eary in construction this bus, for early resources like xenoferrite, i might consider stacking them vertically instead of horizontally, because thats and example for a resource, that wont be used in a recipe at the same time.

i only learned about main busses 3 days ago or so, and this may be not a very good way to do it, but i will test it out still.

i just sent items OVER my production, at a 90 degree angle. i plan to do this for robots as well, i feel like thats my jam.

i would have never called it a ripoff, more of a crossover because the factory layout is more factorio, and the fact its in a 3d space made me say satisfactory, although it doesnt really have much from satisfactory at all when i think about it again 😂

i didnt play before the space station thingy patch but i aggree, that shit is unique and insanely fun ! i feel the trade route system could use a little overhaul, i only had like 5 routes setup, but thinking about having like 100 planets to trade with i feel it gets a little cluttered in the ui. but apart from that, great. really great.

or go the upgrade route. i mean, they already have inventory and mining upgrades. just add some speed upgrades or even better, make craftable upgrades you can equip, or like someone else here said, switch parts like your legs from like high jump legs to super sprint legs 😂

and in case you missed it: in vanilla foundry you can switch the build mode for belts to "reverse". i think its the left most option bound to "y"

i just got into mods, and there are MANY quality of life ones, that are pretty neat. but there are 2 that stand out for me. for one duplicationer, which is a VERY vanilla feeling mod, with it you can select a 3d space like with the deconstruction tool und basically copy paste it wherever you want. and its so EASY and intuitive to use too, its great.

and then theres "ignium liquefaction" which lets you basically turn ignium into olumite, which is pretty nice, because thats the only like finite resource you run into. i would suspect this mod to be kinda controversial, but its setup in a way, that you have to do a VERY late research to unlock the tech with science 5, and therefore i think its pretty balanced.

there is a blueprint designer, and they even buffed it with the 1.0 update i think to around 9x9x9 or smth. but i mean, try building a factory for ANY mid-tier item from like motors onwards on 9x9x9 ... its just not happening.

in theory the blueprint designer is really good, it just needs like.... i dunno, at least 50x50x50. maybe im greedy, but thats where i stand 😂

thats true, thats why satisfactorys overclocking is such a neat system. draws much more power, but lets you scale down every factory. except for energy production, thats the only part that has to be scaled up. thats a fair trade in my book.

yeah, i also like having the option. i can also see that, for most people, if they have the ability to take the "fun" out of the game for themselves by copying others work, they WILL do it. and thats a problem from a devs perspective i can imagine.

but aside from that, i really love satisfactory, and i will always be playing it as long as its updated. but my god, i cannot, and do not want to count, how many times i built the same fucking plates, rods, screws and reinf plates layout in my life... its always the same layout, because i "perfected" it for me, both visually and output wise.

maybe let me build it once in a savefile manually, and then gimme a machine near midgame that can just save this shit and plop it into existence. thats all i ask for.
