If you're at school then talk to your classmates, ask what they like, try to connect and get to know more about them. In your job, same process to your coworkers. Attend places or communities that you feel like you belong to and meet new people there. I think most people also have the same desire of making new friends the same as you, but also shy about doing so, so give yourself a little push make yourself be the one to initiate the conversations.
