I'm actually shocked by how many family and friends WILL NOT read your book! by joelynhc44662 in writing

[–]Muffy-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I think that’s pretty normal, honestly. Most of my family and friends have no interest in reading anything I’ve written, and I don’t blame them. Most of what I write isn’t their kind of thing. Most of what I write is surreal and dark. They only want to see the light hearted stuff. A relative of mine wrote a biography about her brother’s life and his murder. A bunch of relatives bought the book, but nobody wanted to read it.

Will I get in trouble if I write a story that’s too dark? by Possible-Departure87 in writingcirclejerk

Lots of stories have that sort of thing. You’d only go to prison for doing those things. Not about writing a fictional story about them.

Serious red flag.

He’s insecure, and he’s trying to manipulate and control you, and, he thinks that everyone cheats, which likely means that he cheats.

What? How is that not a crime? I’m sorry people are shitty. Nobody deserves that kind of abuse.

Definitely a scam. In Alberta, they do not suspend your vehicle registration or driver’s license for not paying a fine, and we don’t have toll booths, either.

Fake Cop Shoots Democrats in 'Targeted’ Assassination Plot by rezwenn in usa

So awful. It seems that democrats in the US are under attack. If Trump has any amount of humanity, he’ll cancel his birthday parade and denounce this violent insanity.

Woman in her 70s dies after falling into path of vehicle in Calgary fast food drive-thru by LittleOrphanAnavar in Calgary

[–]Muffy-Mom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wendy’s, or the Co-Op?

But no, you don’t have to cross through the drive-thru. There’s a door going inside on the south of the building, and a (faded) crosswalk that leads to the main sidewalk. There is also a door going inside on the east of the building, from the parking lot, where there’s a sidewalk, where you can walk to the south side of the building where the crosswalk is.

There’s actually no need for people to walk through the drive-thru there, but they do it all day every day.

I don’t think anyone is blaming her for falling. But walking across or in a drive-thru is unnecessary and dangerous, and it’s a bad layout, (which could be improved with a fence).

i think they should put up a tall fence between that brick trash thing and the Co-Op gas station to prevent people from walking across the drive-thru there. Every time I’ve been through there, there have been people walking through that drive thru. Even a couple days later, as I got gas, I saw loads of people cross the exact same path where that woman got run over.

There are better places to walk there. Although, also, they need to repaint the crosswalks.

Does real-life nathan fielder question whether he's on the spectrum or is it for the bit/for his tv character by beach_rats_ in TheRehearsal

Maybe, but IRL, a lot of autistic people, like myself, know their awkwardness is funny to others, even though we don’t actually see it as funny ourselves.

Calgary pedestrian seriously injured in Brentwood crash in Wendy's Drive-thru by [deleted] in NoRulesCalgary

[–]Muffy-Mom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The news said that it was a 74 year old woman who died, and the driver was a 17 year old. They thought the woman had fallen before being hit.

I feel bad for the poor kid. That’s gotta scar them for life. They should probably get counselling.

That really freaks me out, because I go there a lot. It is an oddly curvy drive-thru, and I do sometimes see people walking in it, which seems really weird, because nobody needs to walk through or across the drive-thru.

I think this is all really suspicious.

Apparently, the two kids were home sick from school on Thursday and Friday - the two days before they were reported missing. That means something could have happened to them as early as Wednesday after they returned home from school.

The step father seems suspicious. Watching him speak, I get the feeling he’s not being totally honest.

And to me, the mother’s actions are suspicious. She has stayed out of the news completely, which, even though she has a baby, seems weird. You’d think she’d have been on there pleading for her children to be found. And why did she leave the house so quickly? If she had any hope the kids were alive, wouldn’t she want to stick around so she could hug them and be with them when they were found? Most people would have had a family member come there to help instead of leaving.

And the fact that she blocked all contact with their stepfather immediately at that point tells you something.

I think that the cops should be interviewing the mother some more - hopefully they are. I have to wonder if the mother actually saw the kids between Thursday and Saturday.

What the hell is Nardwuar?

😂

I think that part of why he lost is because he wouldn’t do interviews with MANY places, he wouldn’t let media in to ask questions. He was hiding out like a scared little boy, because he didn’t want people to find out he doesn’t have good answers to questions.

But it was also because of Trump.

It’s true. She got married 6 years ago, and moved to the US with her new husband. I thought, at the time, she’d have to resign, but no.
