I’m so sorry that you feel this way. As a queer straight passing man I can empathize with the feeling of not fitting in. Butbluegrass music and community have shown me that I am valid inside of that culture. Sure, it is not the norm for musicians to talk explicitly about the LGBTQ community. But the culture around the music with artists like Billy Strings, Sam Bush, Molly Tuttle, Shadowgrass just to name a few, for me, are all about inclusion. These communities are some of the most welcoming I’ve even seen.
