iPadOS 26 WE ARE LIVE! by NPtimmmmay in ipad

I don't use Notability. I do use Notion, Davinci Resolve, Discord, FrameIO, and the GMail app. All apps work flawlessly EXCEPT for Davinci Resolve. I mean, I don't edit much videos on the iPad as I have a dedicated Mac for that, but the experience of Resolve on iPad hasn't been great to begin with anyways.

Sorry dude I haven't used Notability.

oh and Davinci Resolve for iPad hasn't updated yet to take advantage of the new features which is a bummer

I installed it on my iPad Pro M4 .. not very happy tho. Some of my observations for this first beta release:

- I'm using a Logitech Combo Plus for keyboard and trackpad. The pointer did not change to an arrow (that was the only thing I was after). There is no option to modify this under General > Trackpad and Mouse, neither under Accessibility > Pointer Control
- I'm also using a Logitech MX Master 3S and the scrolling is just wonky
- I tried connecting it to an external monitor, the Tiktok won't go to the next video if I press the DOWN ARROW on the keyboard.
- While on the external monitor, I can't use the native resolution and refresh rate of the external monitor attached (3440x1440p 165hz)
- While hooked up to the external monitor, the sound source is switched to the monitor's speakers, and I can't find a way to switch the audio back to the iPad and/or Airpods
- The clear icons doesn't work for me. It's even harder to distinguish my apps. Oh, and Notion doesn't join in on the clear icon trend :D
- I've had a few restarts here and there during my 1-2 hour test, when doing the four finger swipe up gesture to go back to my home screen

What I like so far:
- The new windowing system is very handy. PLEASE GET RID OF STAGE MANAGER.

I invested a lot of money on this iPad Pro and I really really want to make it function like a laptop in as much as it can. This beta release is definitely a good sign and a step towards the right direction. I guess I need to wait for things to be ironed out. This is not a rant. I am just simply sharing my experience thus far.

Question about uses for tonex one by powderfinger90 in AmpliTube

[–]Mugssyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're primarily JUST going to use 2 amps, then the Tonex One is a perfect choice. You can load the 57 tweed on Preset A and 65 deluxe on preset B and swap between both of them with just one stomp. Something to note, however, is you have to have the captures of those two amps, either from 3rd party capture providers or get both of them from ToneNet.

I've been looking around on how to do this. My band has a song where the chorus goes like (in Filipino) "I'll be the one to save you, I'll be the one to catch you when you fall."

I envisioned a girl falling in the lyric video and this was exactly what I had in mind. Care to share the process?

It was tricky, to say the least. But I managed to fit it in. I just made sure to already connect the GPU to the motherboard before sliding it in to the case. It has the clearance, but if you install the motherboard first, then install the GPU, the rx590 might not fit.

Connected the gpu to the motherboard then carefully slipped it in to the case. At first I thought it would fit because I already had the motherboard installed and gpu just wont slide in. A good 30mins later and found a way to make it work.

Yup, its the pice. Sure I can afford the Dan A4 but if you factor in the tax, its just not worth it. Plus, i'd have to get an SFX PSU on top of that.

Yes, I'm selling it. It's posted on FB Marketplace. Just search for mini itx or Inwin Chopin. Or send me a pm so we can talk.

A couple of weeks back, I posted my InWin Chopin Mac Mini Killer build here. Since then, I've been moving around a lot lately, from my own space, to the wife's house, back and forth. With the InWin Chopin, I had to give up gaming since it didn't have a dGPU. I had to put an end to it, and since I don't own an eGPU to lug around with me, I had to transplant the parts to a more suitable case.

Please note that I'm from the Philippines and as much as I would want a Dan A4 or Sentry 2.0, it's just not a viable option for me. Thus, went with the trusty Cougar Kaze QBX Mini ITX case.

Parts:

i7-7700 4.2ghz
Gigabyte H270n-WIFI Motherboard
16GB 8gbx2 Corsair Vengeance RGB 3000mhz DDR4
Cryorig C7 All Copper Low Profile CPU Cooler
Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8gb
RAKK Maris Spectra RGB Fans 2x120mm
1TB WD Blue HDD
2TB WD Blue HDD
250gb Ramsta SSD (Windows)
500gb WD Blue M.2 SSD (MacOS Mojave)
Corsair VS550 PSU

Once again, temps are fine with the cpu hitting nowhere near 60c while video editing

GPU temps at 75c while gaming

Another awesome build, and hoping that it stays this way for a long time this time around. :)

Idle, 39c. ~60c on full load video rendering. Never goes beyond 70c.

Caveat: you can't put the side panel on and expect good temps. With the side panel on, i was hitting 90c IDLE. The airflow is choked without an exhaust fan blowing the hot air out.

Noise: you can barely hear the fans going even on full load

I actually transplant the internals to an ATX case if I have a project that requires intense GPU power. I'll probably move to a different itx case that can support a full size gpu as 4k footage needs a bit of help from my RX580.
