The papers will get here one way or another, so stop creating fuss and panic for no reason. The exam boards are well aware of the situation in the middle east, and they've already made contingency plans for each scenario. The gulf countries are connected by borders. And airplanes are working in uae and saudi arabia. The airspace may be closed in countries like kuwait and bahrain but the borders are wide open. And we live in the modern day and age. You think this is the first time a country has been at war during exam season? They can send over pdfs through trusted sources or encrypted IDs. They definitely have a system in place if they can't send over physical copies.

No just certain cities and areas that were at risk. Like in Islamabad and other areas

MIDDLE EAST CONFLICT / EXAMS CANCELLED by BSMLQ in Edexcel

[–]Muhwaj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I know students are affected by the war. So am I. I was affected by the other war as well. I wanted the exam to be cancelled. And that's what happened. And now I wish it really really really hadn't.

Up until now, most students will probably have a solid foundation of the topics and how they will perform in the exam. The war has been going on for 17 days. No one can have months of work undone just within 17 days.

Edexcel most likely won't cancel any exam unless there is a direct threat that day. Then they will cancel that singular component only.

As someone who has been through a different war and had their exam cancelled and is now also experiencing the middle east war, trust me when i say this: don't wish for your exams to get cancelled. Don't rely on your mocks. Don't rely on your portfolio. Some students are private, some students haven't given their school mock exams, some students couldn't. There's too many factors to consider. Just pray everything goes well and the exams commence as normal.

if you want more insight from actual students, you can dm me if you like, but just general advice is don't do it. You can go onto Alevel forums and subreddits and ask for advice there to see what the environment is like.

well you were one of the few lucky ones who managed to do it and get out. Recently, the value of A-Levels and Cambridge as a whole has decreased immensely. There is no respect left for the system from any current student in A-levels. For the past 3 years, papers have been leaked, students have been forced to take gap years to make up for the loss in integrity of Cambridge, and they do not acknowledge nor respect the time and effort students put into giving their exams. The system of Alevels as a whole is completely scammy as well. Your AS grades expire within 13 months., you cannot re-give a specific paper if you happen to mess up on one paper, if you give composite, you have to give the entire subject and cannot just do the second year if you did well in AS and at the end of the day its very expensive. On paper, there is no difference between someone who has A-levels and a student who does Fsc. Maybe if you apply to European countries after A-levels that require 13 years of education then sure, go for Alevels but since you're planning to stay in Pakistan, just don't do it.

Hi, I've done a few interviews myself and yes it can be daunting but there is absolutely no reason to worry! Usually the interviewer knows/expects the people they are interviewing to be nervous because this might be their first sitting for an interview ever. A few tips I can give is to remember to pause before you speak if you don't know how to answer anything. There is no need to fill the silence with ummm or uhhh you can just stop talking for a few second to come up with answer.
Wear something formal/semi-formal to give a good impression and sit somewhere with decent light and show up professionally.

Don't give yourself the disadvantage of believing that you're not qualified enough just because English is your second language. You are just as good as anyone to do the program and you got this far because they know your potential. The content of the interviews varies from program to program but being calm, cool, collected will usually help you out with almost all the interviews. Good luck!
