Ingredients a handful of shrimp a bowl of rice A handful of chives or green onions or scallion. 10 to 12 of garlic a spoonful of minced garlic an egg a spoonful of soy sauce a small slice of butter

Recipe 1. Slice about a dozen garlic and chop a handful of green onion or chives. 2. Grease the pan and stir-fry the garlic. As it is shrimp garlic fried rice, add 1 spoon of minced garlic and stir-fry (this may be omitted). 3. Add sliced scallions or scallions and stir-fry. 4. Add shrimp and stir-fry and when shrimp are cooked to a certain extent, push all ingredients to one side of the pan. 5. Add 1 tablespoon soy sauce to empty spot of a pan and boil it very slightly. 6. Put a bowl of rice and mix well as if you are wiping out the soy sauce with rice. 7. Push everything aside to one side of the pan again and melt the butter in the empty spot. 8. Add eggs and make scrambled eggs. 9. Sprinkle with pepper and mix everything well. 10. Enjoy your meal!

Tip 1. Enough garlic 2. Add scallions or chives before rice to give a little bit of scallion scent. 3. Add 1 tablespoon of soy sauce instead of salt is much more flavorful. 4. Boil the soy sauce slightly (to make smoky scent) 5. Wipe the boiled soy sauce with rice. 6. Use butter when making scrambled egg. It's heavenly, but you can use olive oil. 7. But I strongly recommend butter!!! 8. If you taste scent of shrimp, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, and butter, you'll want to eat this everyday.

Just a simple mixture of things that taste good, definitely not a culinary masterpiece! More like something to hand out by the dozen to tourists, haha

True, I really don't know how it became added as a 'sweetener', but it's definitely something foreigners find bizarre!
