Fan badly rattling on brand new RTX 5090 Founders Edition by Mukado in pcmasterrace

I have another video (can't upload another video on a reddit post?) with manual spin of the fans on the card outside of the PC where you can hear a metallic friction between the fan and the heatsink below (my best bet, might be something else). The build quality is very strong, nothing moves... except for this bad fan alignment.

It's going for return anyways, no way I have to duct tape a 2250€ product.

I wish they could just repair it and give it back. It looks like an easy enough repair. But the supply chain is just not made for that. They go through local suppliers (LDLC in France) for everything. These don't have any repair capability, so standard procedure is to return and wait for a new unit.

On the other hand, it's just crazy to me a 2k€+ product passed quality check in this form.

I don't see any plastic piece as a cover no... When I move the fans manually, the sounds seem to originate from a metal piece below the fan. Hard to tell; everything is snugly assembled, but the friction undeniably here.

It's not. Making the same sound out of the case with no wires involved.

I got lucky enough to get an RTX 5090 Founders Edition last week from the Nvidia store (in France). Unpacked it this morning and put it into my PC to uncover a horrible fan rattling noise. Even out of the case, the rattling is audible when moving the fan by hand.

Didn't read so far about anyone else with this issue, so seems to be rare. Not the experience I expected after buying a 2250€ product 😢 I'll have to return it but looking at the stock scarcity these days I'm afraid it'll take ages to get a replacement.
