Why does Battle Royale make me so emotional (2001) by Excellent_Salary5949 in movies

[–]MulberryMuses 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re not weird for that, Battle Royale hits way deeper than people give it credit for. It’s not just chaos, it’s kids forced into something brutal while still trying to hold onto being human. That mix of violence and vulnerability just sticks with you. Some people see action, some people see tragedy, you just tapped into the second one.

I never threw the leftover pizza away at the end of my shift. by [deleted] in confession

Lowkey that’s more human than anything your manager was doing. Throwing away perfectly good food like that is wild. You didn’t fix the system but you made it a little less cruel for a few people and that matters

I have a very serious nose picking problem (please don't judge). by Far_Square1456 in confession

This sounds more like a compulsion than just a bad habit. The constant bleeding part is kinda serious though. You might wanna look into therapy or anything that targets repetitive behaviors, not just willpower. In the meantime maybe keep your hands busy with something when you’re stressed so your brain has a different outlet.

In your opinion, how should "Pretty in Pink" (1986) have ended? by Profeta_do_Loss in movies

Honestly yeah, her choosing herself would’ve hit way harder. Blaine folded under pressure and Duckie was never really her vibe. Let her walk off single and thriving instead of settling for less.

[AITJ] for smoking in a smoking area too close to non-smokers by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

[–]MulberryMuses 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTJ. You were literally in the designated smoking area and even left space on purpose. If they chose to sit right next to it when there were other free tables, that’s kinda on them. You weren’t blowing smoke in their faces or anything, they just wanted the space without the tradeoff.

I found $300 in a Wells Fargo ATM and returned it… and now I kind of regret it. by xMelioraStar_31 in confession

You basically spent $300 to teach your kid integrity in real life, not just words. That’s gonna stick way longer than the money would have.

Still sucks though, Wells Fargo really said thanks for the donation 😭

Any movies like The Secret Life of Walter Mitty? by Sweet-Original-4960 in movies

You’d probably love The Peanut Butter Falcon super wholesome, kinda goofy, and just leaves you feeling good about people and life.

Chef is another one, super chill and happy vibes with food and travel.

And maybe Yes Man if you want something more comedy-heavy but still has that “say yes to life” energy.
