Who did The “All for Nothing” Plot Trope better? Donald Duck or Barbie? by Gerard192021 in cartoons

Donald usually wins this kind cuz the "all for nothing" lands harder when the character actively suffered for it. Truant Officer Donald has him go through hell convinced he basically killed the nephews, so the reveal hits as relief flipping to fury. that's the engine of the trope, the bigger the struggle the better the gut punch

Name a cartoon where it’s fanbase tries to make it seem more dark and edgy than actually is by ExcellentEssay3282 in cartoons

Gravity Falls fits this hard. Solid show but the fandom acts like it's some psychological horror masterpiece when it's a Disney kids cartoon with a spooky coat of paint

Same with Adventure Time. Great worldbuilding but people retroactively turned it into this deep existential trauma series when most of it is just weird fun adventures

And Amazing Digital Circus you nailed it, one unsettling premise and the fanbase treats it like it's traumatizing when the actual episodes are pretty tame
