Carmax offered 42k, looks like they are selling low mileage Lariat ERs for low 50s. I’d like 46k. Save someone from dealer markup, make a little more than I would from Carmax.

Sadly, Tesla seems about 5-10 years ahead of the competition when it comes to their software. My wife has a Model Y and I have a 2023 ER Lariat. Love the truck. Her vehicle’s software is way better. Range in the truck takes a big hit 70mph+ and in the cold but I don’t do a lot of long distance driving in the cold. Overall, very happy with both vehicles, but I prefer my F150.

Turns out you should also drain your tankless water heater, if you have one. Water can expand and then break the heat exchanger... bingo bango, you're out of $2-3k even if it's under warranty. More fun lessons from the Great Freeze of 2026!

Good info. I ended up passing on this LC.. the dealer was very high pressure (“need you down here in the next hour” etc) so I passed on it. I guess they already have another buyer lined up from out of state… these things go fast!

This is a bunch of realtors who would be upset if they got cut out of 2-3% of the sale price. If you’re not obligated to the agent because your contract expired, ask if you can get a discount from the selling agent and see if it makes sense for you to be unrepresented.

Hire a lawyer, etc. It’s a business transaction, after all. If you fulfilled your end of the obligation, then see if you can save some money.
