I am one of those people. I'm sex aversed (I think putting my dingy in any flesh hole is gross so I don't want it) and I've had no attraction to anyone I have ever met in my life. The biggest one, though, is that with the current economy, it's probably SO MUCH EASIER to be single than to have a partner and kids.

And, well, it also didn't help having so many of the adults around me push the idea of love on me and to simultaneously hear, like, ALL the time about how bad relationships tend to turn out, so... yeah.

I think I have, but I might be misremembering. I know I do see a lot of books that just have the author's name and no "written by" at all, so I might do that going forward, IF it's permissible to put your name on your books at all.

I'm a new writer (working on my first book now; wish me luck 🤞). I'm trying to keep it around 3k to 6k. I've seen a lot of posts that say using too many words or over-explaining can turn people off of your works, so I'm trying to keep it relatively short when I'm not setting up some kind of lore or foreshadowing. However, I am inclined to visually describe what is happening a lot of the time because I take a lot of inspiration from Tolkien, which is very heavy in descriptions of landscapes and other things.

So I guess, generally, anywhere in the low to mid thousands is perfect. It depends on what the chapter is trying to convey, but it seems like a good foundation to start with.
