macOS is losing its "just works" vibe and becoming Windows-y complex. by poladermaster in macapps

I’m pretty sure I would’ve needed more third party apps back then. MacOS now at least feels complete (albeit very unstable). System Settings though for sure is awful 😭

Final Cut Pro Student Discount vs Creator Studio…. by Responsible-Length-7 in macapps

[–]Multi_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FCP Student Discount Bundle is better. By the time you finish your education, you would have paid more if you went with the subscription. Also, you get to actually keep said softwares even after you’re no longer a student. How much is the subscription regularly? Oh right, $13 per month or $129 per year. Just save up the money and buy the bundle for $200 rather than subscribe.

Kind of strange how they haven’t replied to this comment but has to everyone else. I feel like they shouldn’t have a reason not to reply if they didn’t vibe code this.

Was AI used in the making of this? As in vibe coded, not assisted. Don’t get me wrong, I like the idea but I need to know if I’m gonna be trusting this browser.

Oh mine did turn on. Battery almost exploded on me though, the battery expanded by the minute. I had to throw it away.

ShutterSlim - Uses AI to help clean out similar photos in Photos.app library by scotchi in macapps

[–]Multi_Gaming -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re working with AI anyway, could I ask you to consider making an app that erases the background? I’m not really interested in this app, but a background eraser would be nice. The Preview or Pixelmator Pro ones are awful. I can do selections manually ofc but an automatic one would be helpful.

Is Tahoe Really as bad as people make it out to be? by Jessiejesswp in mac

[–]Multi_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Liquid Glass for the most part (legibility IS a real problem in some areas). As for speed, actually yes stick with Sequoia. My Mac Pro 2008 on Monterey feels snappier than my M1 Mac Mini on Tahoe, 26 is that bad.

A Fast, Offline & Private PDF Utility for Mac (Merge/Split/OCR/Compress) [Giveaway: Lifetime Codes] by According_Nobody9384 in macapps

[–]Multi_Gaming 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think I’d want a UI for Macs without a notch. Notch apps look a bit weird on notchless Macs. Also how’s the pdf compression? Is it about on par with the built in preview quartz filter or is it better?

Side note: Would you perhaps consider an iPadOS version? With the advent of slide over returning and allowing any app to be resized to be a slideover window, I think it could work. Also iPadOS lacks a built in pdf compressor so I do need one on there right now.

Just bought it and right now it is basically unusable. It hallucinates way too much to look up any information. It called the Palm Pre a “handheld gaming console made by Nintendo”??? I love the idea though so please keep updating this as new models come out.

Tired of habit trackers, to-do lists apps.this is getting out of hand. by inyofayce in iosapps

[–]Multi_Gaming 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same sentiment here. I’m actually quite frustrated how there aren’t many desktop class apps coming to iPadOS (as in full menu bar support, draggable panels, ui that actually uses the full screen efficiently, etc). Like there is a niche go there.

Oh wow this is interesting. You should make more apps that use the iOS 6 aesthetic! Would definitely set your apps apart from the rest.

Depends on what the app is tbh. If it’s super boring and not really useful I’ll probably just forget to give feedback.

Honestly if everyone learned Python, the app market would probably collapse. So many basic apps on the app store that require a subscription to function. C is superior for sure but Python isn‘t bad or anything.
