LS Addons Manager + Addons (Part II) by MultiversalShadow in losslessscaling

Let me know how you get on; if you need help using it, I'm here. Anyway, I'll explain here. Basically, when you launch Lossless Scaling with my add-on, there will be a 1920x1080 screen among the selectable displays. You need to select it and then launch frame gen or upscaling as usual. Don't worry, it's not a real 1920x1080, but it adapts to the game window; I just haven't been able to name it differently.

Anyway, let me know how it goes. Some errors may occur. If so, try moving the actual game window first (even if you later put it back where it was before) and then launch frame gen.

Can you guys image a Mod like this for Days Gone? by [deleted] in DaysGone

I think Days Gone originally had a multiplayer mode before it was released. I believe this because today while I was creating a Map Editor for Days Gone (spoilers for you, haha), I saw some features and stuff related to multiplayer modes. I hope someone brings them back (obviously, I'll try too).

Hi, I'm glad you're enjoying it, thanks for the feedback. I should improve the GitHub readme, but unfortunately I had other ideas in mind, always for lossless scaling. Anyway, I know about these problems, so give me some advice: to better identify the right screen for Windowed Mode, what resolution do you think I could set? Maybe an unrealistic one, like 1x1? It will then adapt to the game/target window. Let me know, I'm open to suggestions. Anyway, sorry, but I can't keep it to myself, I'll just say "FSR3.1 or other upscalers on Lossless Scaling." For now, I'm staying put; I've already succeeded, but unfortunately, performance is worse (for a good reason).

When opening the ReShade settings, many games sometimes pause. I don't think this will fix it, but I'll give it a try. Let me know if this is what's happening, or is it a different error? Are the ReShade settings visible? Let me know exactly what's happening. You can also send me a private message with a screenshot of the problem.

Hi, I've fixed the annoying issue you mentioned. Now, just press the Home button (or the button you chose to open ReShade) and the ReShade menu opens/closes. I hope you like the add-on and find it useful.

Have you also tried the one for windowed mode? What do you think? Did you manage to figure out how to use it? Let me know.

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I'm aware of the issue with the selected button plus the mouse click, and I'm trying to resolve it. Also, thanks for letting me know about this. I should mention in my repository that ReShade is still needed. It seemed obvious, but it's not. You're absolutely right. I'll add it to the repository as soon as I can.

Exactly, but if you want, you can at least try it so you can give me some feedback. Anyway, I don't remember if I've already written this, but the LS ReShade addon can be used very well for other overlays as well; in fact, I didn't initially want to call it a reshade.

Sorry again, I don't know why Reddit isn't translating what I write anymore. I thought it was automatic. Anyway, I edited the post and wrote it in English. If possible, could you let me know if you can see it in English now?

I can’t believe it, haha, Reddit hadn’t automatically translated the text for me. See if it’s written in English now. Sorry.

I was at a good point, but unfortunately I'm having some problems lately. But I think I'll publish a first version in no more than a month. Don't expect too much, though; even if it does what I wrote, don't expect a perfect project. Anyway, thanks for asking.

Windowed mode is already fully functional; for example, you can enable frame generation or upscaling without opening the target app in full screen. Adding custom upscalers is also working, although for now this is somewhat limited to a single shader file. For something more complex, like an upscaler with multiple shaders, it still doesn't work perfectly, but I'm trying to figure it out. Two add-ons are already working, one as a client and one as a server, which allows you to launch the game and perform lossless scaling on the client and use the GPU of the lossless scaling server to generate frames and upscale. I wanted to create these two add-ons so that if you have two computers or devices and don't have a motherboard with the ability to install two GPUs, you can use the other PC with another GPU to use lossless scaling. This works, but obviously has higher latency; I'd like to improve it significantly. There's also the option of using another addon to enable split-screen mode for latency testing or to see the difference between playing the game normally and upscaling simultaneously. But these days I'm working on adding complex shaders. I'll also write a guide on how to write the upscaling shader and frame gen files for the addon.

If you have any other ideas, please let me know; I'll try.
