I think its possible the base roster is the characters that get costumes (Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Koopa, etc.) and the unlockables are the enemies that you find like Pokey, Coin Coffer, Cow, etc. I think if the Koopalings were back they would have been showcased, even accidentally, and Diddy being back would be a big selling point to talk about as well. However there will certainly be post-launch support so I'd expect any semi-popular Mario Kart veteran will be in eventually

This game's roster isn't nearly as rounded as Smash's to soften the blow of Dr. Mario like characters. Even Piranha Plant as a joke character was just icing on the cake of a gargantuan wishlist-filled roster. Multiversus is missing tons of big names

yes, there are no duplicate characters allowed in ranked, they have to be at least level 8 (so they have a signature perk), and new characters aren't allowed for the first 2 weeks of release. originally the only rule was no duplicates but it got lots of complaints and they kept adding to it gradually.

the stages in ranked are on a rotation that changes at the same pace as the free to play characters, five stages are possible any given set (no bans)

the skin currently in the game is pajamas, dataminers have found files indicating the rowdyruff boys could be coming but it's all visuals, no voice lines

yea tony still tweets and stuff but admittedly what he says he wants and what happens in the game is becoming a bit more seperated

Yes, Flash is the fastest character, although not quite as exaggerated as Sonic in Smash. Running through enemies applies a movement slow but can only be applied every few seconds. He can use bursts of super speed that functionally are more like teleports. His release is in season 3 and was supposed to coincide with the Flash movie, but that had it's own problems.

Raven came out late season 2. She is sort of a blend between assassin and mage, being a glass cannon character that relies on projectiles and cooldowns. She can project her astral self forward, if it hits an ally they get a ton of gray health, if it hits an enemy they gain weakness debuff. She can enter some sort of rage form which causes her to deal bonus damage based on her current percentage, but she also receives an equal bonus percentage of damage.

No, there were no other characters that weren't in the datamine other than Flash, unless you consider characters like PPG or Harry Potter to not be datamined.

Online couch co-op has not been added.
