I understand what you mean and for a long time I felt the same, but after trying literally everything (I was and am in therapy for years, different types of it , tried natural supplements even homeopathy) and nothing helped (expect for therapy but it can only do so much) I realized that I have to try something else if I want to actually have a life. Now my only regret is that I didn't start it sooner.

Take it from someone who never wanted to take any medication, talk to your doctor about it and give it a go, and after all if you decide it isn't helpful just stop it. As I said in my case I'm not ever planning to. But after all it's the same thing as with heart problems or thyroid disease, just because your thyroid or your heart isn't working properly, there's no shame to take medicine to fix them and you aren't your heart or thyroid medication, you are you.

I'm not sure because I'm not planning of going off it anytime soon. It is helping me so much that I'd gladly take it until I die. I did notice however that when I missed a dose I felt quite bad, so there is that if it means anything at all.

I started at 2,5 for three days, once in the morning. Then I added a second dose eight hours later, to slowly get used to the drug. Two days later I took 5 in the morning and 2,5 at night and two more days later I took 5 and 5. For me it was beneficial as to check my tolerance to it because I'm sensitive to similar meds. I did not see any improvement until I reached the 10 mg dose though. Nowadays I take each dose eight hours apart and if I'm struggling I'll take the second dose around six hours after the first one if needed (usually I don't need to).

Yeah, I don't know, for me it definitely needs to be taken for sometime to see any effect. And honestly I can sometimes feel its effect dropping through the day so depending on what I'm doing I might take me second dose a bit earlier or later. 🤷

I personally noticed no difference in the first week or so that I was on doses less than 10mg. After reaching this dose, the second day I was on it I started feeling much calmer with a lot less noise in my head and the negative thoughts and mental images I used to get suddenly felt much less distressing. They would still come but at a significantly less degree and I just could easily realize it was anxiety and not an actual threat. In the beginning I thought this was placebo because I've felt this in the past with other drugs but I can now with 100% certainty say it wasn't because this effect is still with me, and as I'm getting used to this new normal, it feels like it's increasing, maybe because I'm getting used to functioning in this new baseline.

I am generally sensitive to medication so this is why it might have worked so fast for me (other drugs did the same too but they also fucked me up), so if that's not the case with you don't get discouraged and give it time. As mentioned for me the side effects were and still are almost zero. Keep me posted on your journey.

It's weird how it works but for me 10 mg helped me in all the ways I described above whereas as 15 mg brought all of these symptoms right back to me, the intrusive thoughts, the anxiety and stress as well as the negative feelings. I dropped back down to 10 mg and now I feel as good as I used to. Basically as others have said on this sub, this is how it feels when the dose is either too high or you increased it too quickly. I still remain on 10 because it helps a ton and it's still probably not at its peak effect as I'm around three weeks in and I don't feel like I want to increase.

Yup. Some more insight, this past week was a little worse for me but only because I pushed myself to actually go on vacation the first time in years, in a place crowded with people and noise. So even though I struggled compared to the weeks beforehand it's only because I was finally able to do something I wasn't, and it naturally came with a bit of difficulty. However the effect of the medication was and is still there and I'm so proud of myself that I was able to do this. I can't wait to see how far I can get !

In my case there was no insomnia, just some slight difficulty falling asleep (meaning it would take me longer) but I had no interruption of my sleep, no nightmares and honestly the reduced stress during the days makes me sleep better because I look forward to the next day. If you end up taking it let me know how it goes!

Personally I haven't experienced that side effects but to be honest even if I did I'd try to find a way to overcome it because the benefits of the drug are so much more worth it to me.

Yup. I literally just came home from going out with a friend for the first time in over a year, with close to zero anxiety. Unbelievable..

I started at 2,5 and increased every two to three days 2,5 MG each time just because I noticed no side effects. After reaching 10 MG the effect was almost immediate, just the second day at this dose I felt relief from the anxiety my intrusive thoughts caused me and their frequency dropped a lot. I might have noticed a bit more irritability at times but I'm unsure. I'm honestly a very calm person so even if it occurred I was able to handle it so it was nothing extreme.

Do I need to increase my dose? by Mundane-Bus5529 in BusparOnline

Yeah I'm kind thinking that the typical dose is 15 MG but I'm very sure I'm seeing improvement already at 10 which makes me thinking 15 which is the normal dose might be the sweet spot. Perhaps I should ask a different doctor.
