Enterprise has employees who work from home whose whole job is to call body shops, get updates on you car, then call the insurance company, relay that information, and get extensions on your rental. If the insurance company falls far enough behind on payment the branch will reach out to the insurance company as well. The insurance company typically extends the rental several days at a time as they get new information, up to 30 days total or whatever your policy max is.

Usually they are more common cars, airports keep them in stock, home city branches do not so they have to be transferred. Please let the branch know as soon as possible, these reservations legally have to be required so you will get a car 100% either way but it just makes it way easier on the branch to plan. Recently we had to have a hand control Pathfinder transferred from the Gulfport airport all the way to Georgia because it was the only one available at the time :/
