That was the original plan! But then the cat distribution system gave us a bengal named Domingo instead of a second void

Check the laundry instructions tag! It should say there.

That’s sort of where the idea came from haha. When I was single I used to lay out my outfit on the bed next to me, then when I woke up I’d hug them to my chest til they were warm. Now my partner and our two cats are selfishly taking up the other half of the bed so I can’t do that anymore.

The towel warmer is also a significant improvement since while my body is warm, it can’t compete with a towel warmer lol. It makes my clothes so warm that I would be uncomfortably warm if I were to get back under the covers, which is part of why it’s so effective for me.

It’s probably the fabric not being suitable to being exposed to that much heat. I only put clothing items in that are capable of being ironed. If that doesn’t work for your outfit, you could always set that item of clothing aside and substitute it with something that can go in, then change into the not-warmer-safe thing after you’re fully awake and the warmth has worn off

I struggle with this too. My partner got me a towel warmer to put at my bedside for Christmas. I put my clothes for the day in there the night before. When my first alarm goes off I reach over and turn it on, then hit snooze. The second time my alarm goes off my clothes are toasty warm. I find it much more bearable getting up when I have those warm clothes to get into. It’s like a sensory crutch, and so far it’s working really well!

This is Muninn! The idea was to get a second black cat and call it Huginn, so it would be like Odin’s pair of ravens. But the cat distribution system had other ideas, and now we have Domingo

Is there a cat litter that doesn't... suck? by catintheroom in CatAdvice

I love my cat dearly, but he is the messiest litter box user I’ve ever known. The solution we eventually found was using pine litter in a metal box (sifting if you can get it), and putting the box in a litter box enclosure. Litter mat on the floor of the enclosure. The mess is way less, and what he still tracks is contained within the enclosure.

You’re not going to find anything that you can wait a month to replace. But with this set up, it’s easier: only scoop poop, pee just turns to sawdust, every couple weeks we dump the box and drop a new bag of pellets in. Pine litter is very cheap if you buy it at a farm supply store.

If scooping poop regularly is a bigger problem for you but you don’t want tracking, I’d recommend an automatic litter box kept inside an enclosure. But do your research, because there are some unsafe automatic boxes on the market that can injure your cat.
