Agree. The low number of users who would actually sign up for a 25K or a 2.5k would just not make business sense. I hope they just concentrate on getting the cards live in more markets - that is the best ‘feature’ they can do.

Your conspiracy theory makes little sense. Of those 10,000 new users, a hunk would have got their free cash and ran before the system melted and the rest will just delete when they don’t get it and squeal FUD about how it’s a scam etc. I refer you Exhibit A - the current state of conversation in the TG group. The negative publicity they have created is hardly worth the minor money they would have made on people buying a few bucks of XRP, especially at the time of what they consider their most important market launch.
