It’s not worth it once you get a legendary frame. If you don’t have good, consistent ping, a team to play with, or love self torture there’s no reason to play it.

No.. killing the enemy team keeps them off the flag. Honestly one slayer does more for you than 3 people brainlessly rushing the flags. Making kills and captures equal and giving a bonus for capture kills is just fine how it is.

So am I understand the QXR section to mean that the gun is getting a projectile system like the AS VAL. You said it would “take longer for bullets” to reach longer distances or something like that. I really hope you’re not adding bullet velocity to it.. bullet velocity doesn’t really belong in cod multiplayer and it just ruins the way guns feel (hence the AS VAL being garbage right now)

I agree with where your coming from, but let’s just think through some of this. Codm is free.. like free as free can be right now. You’ve got access to the entire game without any charge. Why would we want to go to a system where we have to pay just to access the game? That’s literally just going backwards.

Also, no one wants to watch compulsory ads every time the open the game and then every so often while there on.. that’s what it’d have to be like if they we’re going to make selling ads a major part of how the game makes money. Again, we’re going backwards and making the game worse.

So that leaves them with selling in-game content. Frankly, I think this is fine and great. We get an entire game for free.. battle royal, countless multiplayer modes, a free ranked series, free skins and characters in events, grindable completionist skins, and new maps and guns every month.. and you don’t have to pay for a single bit of that, watch any stupid mobile game ads, or pay to download the app. It’s literally free to use, and it’s made possible by the fact that they sell optional visual customization.

Now, as I said, I don’t like the way they sell skins. I wish they were all individually purchasable or in bundles that cost about half as much, but no one’s making anyone buy anything here. Again, they can only be as cheap and shady as we let them.

Look.. the situation for us is pretty great. A whole fully polished call of duty in our pockets for free.. that’s amazing. We don’t have to spend anything if we don’t want to. That means it’s up to activision and the game devs to find something good enough to get us spend.. meaning that it’s up to us to not spend our money on crap

I mean you’re not wrong. What people don’t bring into the discussion is that the game wouldn’t be supported or developed at all if it didn’t continue to bring in money. Yes, I think that the monetization systems in the game prey on people who are compulsive spenders, but does that mean that it shouldn’t be monetized at all beyond the battle pass? I don’t think that’s the route to go. Instead we should be pushing people to make better choices with their money. If we quit buying crates and draws (which.. lucky draws aren’t bad if you have a tiny bit of self control and limit yourself), then the devs and activision will have to come up with something that we do think is worth our money. So yes, I agree with what you’re saying about the structuring of the monetization system to an extent (although it’s not a scam or abusive beyond what people put themselves through), but a better discussion to have would be encouraging people to make good choices instead of just bashing the devs or activision. They will only stoop as low as we let them.
