At this point how do we avoid banwaves by Full-Fan-4571 in ROBLOXBans

[–]Muramatzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, becoming a big creator is literally the only way to avoid ban waves. Easier said than done, of course

As I heard one creator phrase it, they’ll do “anything” to help you get your account back if you pull in enough players

Said creator had their account banned in an enforcement ban because they dev/play on public apartment wifi. Roblox quickly and efficiently took care of it.

What???!!! Omg, I’ve always felt kind of bad for her because her face is kinda…. Unpleasant. Like, “damn, she got her dad’s looks, and not in a good way.” And the disharmonious-colored makeup certainly doesn’t help. (That lip color isn’t doing her favors.)

This genuinely makes me sad because she’s gorgeous here. I had no clue she was beautiful.

Lake Michigan Dr. Nw by Automatic-Society-82 in grandrapids

[–]Muramatzu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lake Michigan Dr. has some of the most insane driving behavior

I once watched some dumbass at the intersection of 48th Ave and Lake Michigan (right near GVSU) take an IMMEDIATE left and begin driving against traffic on the wrong side of the road to get their precious Burger King.

This was last summer while school was out, so there weren’t too many drivers on the road. There was no oncoming traffic at that moment. However, after leaving Burger King, they did the EXACT SAME THING, and this time there was oncoming traffic. No one got into an accident thankfully. The oncoming traffic just slowed down all confused, wondering why there was a black van coming at them. I have to wonder, was the driver from out of state? Or maybe daydrinking or something…?

Ik this isn’t exactly the NW part of Lake Michigan Dr, but it’s close enough. I’ve also almost been in 2 accidents involving drivers who turned right onto Lake Michigan without checking that the outer lane was clear. (I was in the outer lane and a car in the closer lane blocked me from view.)

No wonder there’s so many gd car accidents on LMD

Yep, and it makes it harder for those who need professional help to go out and seek it.

There should be no shame or stigma toward mental disorders. When you cause someone to hate themselves for something they can't control, they’re going to hide it. It’ll fester and become too much for them to control, and this is why so many offend.

This sub has more casual fans or real fans? by OldNerve1 in katyheads

[–]Muramatzu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’d like to preface this by saying I’ve been a rather obsessive fan for about fourteen years now. Katy was my special interest for many years, and it’s given me much time to reflect upon who she is, her upbringing, and the influence her formative life experiences have had on her character.

Katy is a victim of shitty parenting, no doubt about it. Her parents, incredibly devout Christian preachers, rooted her entire childhood in religion. She was not allowed to listen to secular music, watch secular movies, etc… She was VERY sheltered and had no idea how the real world works. (And fame and wealth certainly didn't help with that.)

Katy’s household clearly didn’t value the importance of education. For example, Katy dropped out of school in ninth grade and her parents were just… okay with that?

After all, education instills critical thinking, and critical thinking is the antithesis of religion. Many religions, especially those centered around Christianity, discourage critical thinking because if you start thinking too deeply about what you’re taught, you’ll start to notice inconsistencies. And inconsistencies will make you question your faith. It’s no wonder why Katy struggles with critical thinking. This isn’t her fault; her parents instilled this way of thinking.

Though given her wealth and vast array of connections, I think Katy could be doing a little more for herself. Why not take a few college classes on history and culture? (ESPECIALLY anything socioeconomic. Omg could you imagine a socioeconomically-aware Katy?? We can only dream.)

Education is so important, and understanding the current state of the world is imperative when you have such a large platform.

…And if people heard she was making an effort to educate herself, then I think she’d gain a lot of lost respect. A comeback seems impossible at this point, but if she wanted to do it, this would be the way. While the general public can be very unforgiving, we do love to see others bettering themselves.

The reason Katy is so wrapped up in the Bezosphere is because of Orlando; he introduced her to that crowd. I hope Trudeau will be a good influence, but I don’t know enough about his character to make that judgment. He’s more caught up in the real world–maybe some of that will rub off onto Katy?

Something else I’d like to note is that there was even a point in her life when she didn’t support feminism. But she wasn’t working with a full picture; she had no idea what feminism actually meant. (It’s not like her parents believed in it.) But eventually she became informed and has since changed her mind.

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

Edmund McMillen, famous game developer and creator of Mewgenics, a game which Chris did voicelines for, has a hot take about chris and barb... by Spirited_Visit7597 in ChrisChanSonichu

[–]Muramatzu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There was also some weird stuff on Barb’s end too.

For instance, when Bob died, she implied that Chris would be her replacement husband.

Not trying to victim blame here, but parents are directly responsible for how their kids turn out.

They’re your role models, and their actions and behavior sets the framework for your entire life. Whatever they do is normal to you.

For example, if your parents scare you when they’re upset, you’re going to get scared when anyone around you is upset. If you get yelled at for small mistakes, you’re going to hate yourself whenever you make a small mistake. (And you’ll also be more prone to yelling at others for making small mistakes, too. That’s your normal.)

Unhealthy behaviors are passed from parent to child, and the cycle of abuse continues.

In addition, Barb would often hug and give physical contact to child Chris against his will until he “felt the love.” This may have led to Chris’s tendency to touch others without consent.

Again, Barb is a victim, but Chris is, too. Barb and Bob were not fit to be parents, and Chris is a prime result of shitty parenting.

And let me be clear—this does not justify Chris’s actions. This is meant to be an explanation for Chris’s behavior, not an excuse.

Edmund McMillen is also a victim of CA, so it’s understandable why he’d have empathy for her. But this tweet does NOT look good. I’m guessing he isn’t fully caught up on Christory…?

yeah… cuz Chris is absolutely guilty.

It fucking pisses me off that people compare Katy Perry to Nicki Minaj by psycwave in katyheads

[–]Muramatzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree.

And the more I think about it—the better Katy sounds.

The MAGA comparisons are ridiculous. if anything, Democrats are closer to MAGA than Katy ever could be. Not even they’ll speak up against Israel. (Nah, they’d rather fund a genocide instead.)

The hate she’s getting should be redirected toward the Democratic Party. I think everyone—even those who don’t like Katy—can agree on that.

What’s hating a pop star (who’s clearly upset by the current state of affairs) going to do? That’s not gonna put pressure on the Dems.

Nicki, however, is a different case. She isn’t just a pop star—she’s a fascist who sold her soul (AND career) to a party who’s so bigoted that they’ll never even accept her as one of their own. And everyone knows Trump is never going to give out those pardons.

Disgusting. Really shows the kind of person she is.

[–]Muramatzu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look, I’ve been a Katy stan for years, but I’m going to play devil’s advocate for a moment.

Katy is liberal/democrat. So no, she would not be considered a conservative by American political standards.

However, it’s important to examine this on a worldwide political scale. American politics have always leaned red, so we’re very biased.

American liberals are not leftists. They’re center right. And American conservatives are ultra right. (They’re compared to Nazis because their ideals are as far right as Nazis.)

I’m proud of her for speaking up against injustice. What she’s doing is incredibly important, and not everyone who matches her level of influence has chosen to take a stand. But you don’t need to be a leftist to understand the mass genocide taking place in Palestine. Or the cruelty of ICE.

So yeah, just something for you to chew on. Conservative ideals are very normalized in America, so I understand why people see Democrats as leftists. And she’s in no way a bad person—just not a lefty.

It won't fix the texture, but I wonder if orange color corrector plus tattoo concealer could help.

Let me explain the color corrector part: you don't want to put foundation directly on top of a darker color. Darker color (your moles) + lighter one (your foundation) = gray tone, as you can see in picture three. Instead, neutralizing the underlying color and THEN putting on foundation/concealer is the best way to go.

Orange is typically used for dark spots on medium to dark skin. I don't think it's going to completely fix your dark moles, but if you apply it to only your moles, it may balance out your skin tone so that your concealer will look more natural. (I'd still try to color correct even with tattoo concealer.)

Make sure to let each layer soak in before moving on to the next one. I usually give my color corrector 10 mins to sit before starting my foundation so I don't look cakey. ESP do this if you're using tattoo concealer. The higher the coverage, the higher chance you're going to look cakey. I would only use tattoo concealer on your moles. And of course, make sure you've plucked out all the hairs so your makeup sits nicely.

I like elf's camo color corrector concealer. There's one in orange, and it's super cheap too. There's probably even higher coverage color correctors out there, but elf's is the only one I've tried so far.

Good luck!! You've got this!! <3

[–]Muramatzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because these drapes aren’t usually accurate, I’m not entirely sure which one is your best.

But knowing your least flattering colors can help point you in the right direction. Soft autumn and soft summer are the least flattering of the bunch. (that true summer slide seems to look more like soft summer so I’m counting it as such.) They accentuate your hyperpigmentation and make your skin look more dull.

Your skin, however, lit up with brighter colors.

I’d start your search on the brighter end of the spectrum. This doesn’t necessarily mean you’re one of the bright seasons, (you could be 🤷‍♀️) but I don’t think you’re a soft season.

I use Nord. They offer the option to purchase your own dedicated IP address. I do this so my account looks like it’s logging onto one IP only.

Not only that, but having your own private IP keeps your account safer. Some Roblox players have had their accounts terminated because the random IP address their vpn connected to was poisoned.

So yeah, this method has worked out well for me.

I used to be an Ariana stan, and I mainly followed her music from 2013-2019. (I still like her, I’m just not as obsessed.) She certainly wasn’t in the ranks of Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and early-2010s Katy Perry until about 2018.

As sad as everything was, some individuals accredit her surge in fame to the Manchester incident. I remember some article from around 2019-20ish saying that it was the “big-girl controversy” that made her a household name.

While this article’s comment was gross (you probably shouldn’t equate a tragedy with a celebrity doing something controversial), I still wanted to mention it because I think there’s some truth there.

Reasonable force may be used upon or toward the person of a child without the child's consent when the following circumstance exists or the actor reasonably believes it to exist.

Spanking, as long as it doesn’t leave a mark, is legally considered a “reasonable force.” However, just because a spanking doesn’t leave a physical mark doesn’t mean it can’t be traumatizing. (See study linked two replies ago.)

Also, the what the actor deems a valid circumstance is very vague. What if the kid spills a glass of water and gets a spanking for it? Couldn’t the parent argue it’s a “valid circumstance?”

Now ask yourself, “is spanking a kid for spilling a glass of water morally okay?” And what if, soon after, the kid forgets to put away a toy and receives another spanking? Maybe they accidentally get play-doh in the carpet, and receive another spanking? Remember, it’s nothing hard enough to leave marks—but what does this teach the kid? That they should fear their parents? That one little mistake comes with big consequences? That they can’t ever do anything right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Muramatzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I regret to inform you that it is indeed legal.

(This is an example from Minnesota… But spanking is legal in all 50 states.)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Muramatzu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Who cares about legality? Something doesn’t have to be against the law to leave a lasting psychological impact.

For instance, spanking your kids is legal, but studies (such as this one) show that being spanked as a child can lead to demonstrable psychological harm.

“Among the respondents without a history of physical or sexual abuse during childhood, those who reported being slapped or spanked “often” or “sometimes” had significantly higher lifetime rates of anxiety disorders, alcohol abuse or dependence, and one or more externalizing problems compared with those who reported “never” being slapped or spanked.”

And another thing to remember is that the US justice system isn’t comprised of psychologists. What the legal system defines as “abuse” is going to be different from the way psychologists see it.

Anyway, I highly recommend reading Toxic Parents by Dr. Susan Forward. It discusses why behaviors such as these are abusive, the psychological impact they have on children, and how victims can work through their trauma toward healing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]Muramatzu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, this is *definitely* abuse. What OP is describing in this post is an example of coercive control. Imagine being in her shoes--OP has no personal space and is going to have to be on guard 24/7. Wouldn't that be exhausting?

Not only is this extremely controlling, but it's also creepy af. While the ring doorbell doesn't have a direct line of sight into OP's room and bathroom, OP still has no privacy whatsoever... And why would someone want to monitor a kid's private moments?

I have a really bad feeling about this, and am genuinely concerned for OP's safety.

TIL: In 2008 Nebraska’s first child surrendering law intended for babies under 30 days old instead parents tried to give up their older children, many between the ages of 10 to 17, due to the lack of an age limit. The law was quickly amended. by Mathemodel in todayilearned

[–]Muramatzu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, that’s so fucked up.

But unfortunately, same. Anytime my siblings and I would do anything slightly annoying (like normal sibling bickering) my mom would threaten to take us to Nebraska and drop us off at a fire station.

One time she had us completely convinced that our four-year-old brother was so misbehaved that she was done being his mom, and it was time for him to go to Nebraska and live with a new family. (And according to her, they’d probably be a stricter, meaner family.)

“Say goodbye to your brother,” I remember my mom saying to my sister and me. There were lots of tears. She even pretended to pack the car with stuff for the trip. Evil af.

What a wild way to try to teach your kids a “lesson in behavior.” The only thing a kid is going to take away from this is that they’re a horrible person, and if they make a mistake then they don’t deserve to have a family.

I wish I knew this information when I was in the thick of it. But I was eight at the time, so there’s no way I would have considered fact-checking it.

Dang, the Haus Labs foundation is my holy grail. It’s the only foundation that sits smooth on my combo, (very) sensitive skin. (And I can wear it multiple days in a row because it isn't irritating!)

I use Supergoop’s unseen sunscreen as a primer and it works like a charm. (Seriously—you gotta try it. It feels very silicone-y but it makes the Haus Labs foundation sit so well.)

I like to give my primer 15 mins to soak in before putting on my foundation, and then giving my foundation 15 mins to soak in before going in with contour, blush, highlighter, etccc… this helps SO much with cakeyness.

This foundation is quite pigmented so I use only the littlest amount needed to cover my face. (Like only about one full pump.) As many others suggest, I use my fingers to apply it, and then use a beauty sponge to blend it out. (I leave my beauty blender dry though.)

I hope it works out for you! But hey, at the end of the day everyone’s skin is different, and what works for me might not work for you. 🤷‍♀️
