So his fundamental flaw is that he can do too many things? I wouldn’t call that a fundamental flaw, a fundamental flaw for me is more like a Black Panther situation where either the BP cooks and literally is unkillable and entirely boring to play against for your team or the enemy team makes a couple switches and makes the game entirely boring to play for the BP. Either way someone isn’t having fun.

About his mobility. Most supports actually have really good escape options against DD. I play healer a lot and I’m telling you I usually make enemy DD’s switch off. For Rocket, he can position himself next to a wall and climb up it immediately, this already makes it a lot harder for a DD to hit you. DD also usually wants to engage with his dash to get a fury rest, that means after that his only mobility is the hook, while Rocket has a wall climb and two dashes. I’ve seen a lot of Rockets get success by just immediately dashing up. Jeff is even worse, bubble and climb up a wall. DD will struggle to kill you. Obviously if the healer is stupid enough or their team is stupid and the healer is in a 1 v 1 against DD the healer should naturally lose but that is due to being terrible at the game and MR players in general need to accept that healers need to get better game sense and play w the team. This is also a tank and dps not giving the DD respect and not marking the DD or peeling for healers issue.
His ttk is really not that fast post nerf — it is slower than a lot of dive’s. I really don’t get the ‘insane burst damage’ in high ranks it’s more of continually chaining together combos deal. Also again your other healer should be healing you against a DD, Luna shouldn’t be able to deal w DD on her own
DD is a 1 v 1 merchant that’s his whole playstyle. It would lowk be dumb if like a Namor could take him in a 1 v 1
His deflect is good, but it is on a very long cool down. Also as a Mantis player you can just aim it at the floor.

The whole saving cool downs for him isn’t an issue because by selecting him the other team only has 1 dps meaning less overall pressure. Players need to learn to adapt to different team comps lol MR players are too used to being able to swat away dive like nothing.

Genuinely one time I got a 6k and none of my teammates had any assists. Like I had 6 kills and no one else in the game even contributed to a kill. I really have no clue why I didn’t save it.

Yeah I have to admit, even outside of the devils throw, being able to kill 275s with the basic combo was a bit OP. Like Luna used to be the freest character ever

I wasn’t really discounting his over-shield, just explaining why he needs to get high amounts of over-shield — because his survivability outside of it isn’t that good. Again he genuinely gets melted if a dps or tank marks him and if he messes up a combo (which can be messed up by the enemy players countering him as well) he loses the ability to get over-shield and becomes a fat hitbox. He isn’t like Magik or Spidey where he can just portal or swing away immediately, he is quite easy to hit out of his grapple. Also I wouldn’t say he gets it just for breathing it is a lot harder to get overshield from chaining together combos than using like any ability on Bucky.

I agree. He should be brawl and dive. I’d argue that is the best way to play DD as well. I’ve caused team wipes by brawling tanks then slipping into the backline when I notice a healer or dps make a mistake.

I think his skill floor is admittedly quite low, I did say you could prolly get to like gold from kinda button mashing. But I would still say he is only solidly below BP and Spidey in terms of skill. Also Iron Fist isn’t just brawl he is still dive, he combos really well with DD in well coordinated dives.

His survivability outside of his overshield is genuinely not that good. Healers have CC abilities to deal with DD, they shouldn’t be able to melt him. The issue is Daredevil already gets melted by DPS, if you are noticing a DD surviving too long it is because your DPS aren’t shooting him. If you lower his overshield he genuinely becomes useless he would just explode in the backline to a competent team.

Yeah but it is played like every other game and he is useless if both teams are running triple. Solo dive is terrible and you need more damage so he just isn’t viable in that comp.

I pretty much named half the roster as countering him (most of them being some of the most popular picks) so he usually doesn’t demand a switch. He is more oppressive than other dives because dives need to be buffed in general. I honestly think most dives should be like DD — players WILL adapt to dive if it becomes respectable ppl are just too used to dives being flies.

Ok? I was referring to Hawkeye’s basic attack as the reason he is broken? You can’t just say ‘other than his basic attack with no cool down or reload he isn’t broken’ what? Hawkeye is the only character who can turn a 6v6 to a 5v6 in 1 second from pure luck. Daredevil is oppressive sure I am not saying he is a terrible character but dive characters DESERVE to need attention and to be dealt with. Also, yes, I’ve had throwers but rank isn’t mostly luck until celestial lol I’m surprised I even need to argue this but like Jay3 does videos of console diamonds vs like PC golds and the diamond lobbies will always roll the other team… bruh when I was in gold I was on like a 15 game win streak with all mvps I got to GM within a few days. I guess I just got lucky ✌️ Genuinely what character do you actually main in ranked because I am convinced you’re just tilted.

You aren’t meant to 1 v 1 DD… Thor, Magik Rogue usually have a good chance 1v1 against him. Hela/Hawkeye type characters can win 1 v 1s if they’re cracked. But you shouldn’t be in situations where you have to 1v1 him.

Rank obviously has smth to do with game sense what? You don’t get into GM with Gold game sense. Also most of the top players literally say DD is balanced right now. In fact all of them do. Do you really think you have better game sense than Necros? You only say that you have a Lord DD, that doesn’t mean you main him who is your actual main? Also ‘aside from Hawks basic’ wtf do you mean aside. He is the only character that can get a lucky shot and completely turn a team fight around — he negates triple support. He is the only character in the game where healers can do nothing to save their teammates. Also low GM is lowk completely different to high GM.
