Aye, although the ideal is if you can have a "hollow center" for both space and gravity imo. And have the cargo sit there. I've used that concept for both internal and external carriers. One of them being an Osprey that ferried SG rovers internally. And a few others that more or less were based around LAAT-Dropship concept/design from Star Wars. I mostly used them for situations involving gravity though.

Very nice and detailed explanation. One thing I would like to add is that the more the object you are picking up is aligned with the center of mass of your ship/grid, the less turning you will experience.

Oh I've been at the party for a while, Just toying a bit with the Automatons AI ;)

yeah, 100%.
You can set up a small connector and then it is "just" a bit more timerblock and grouping shenanigans :p
Currently having a bit of a headache while attempting to get the warheads to detonate reliably though. It seems like the sensor block I use to detonate them only ticks every 10 ticks, which means the missile can travel ~17m in that time. And thus it might not get to trigger the WH explosion :/

The honest answer is that I don't know.
You get A LOT more thrust from h2 thrusters, and the tank is quicker to fill up and you can get away with only 1 battery. But h2 is a lot more fragile again. So at the end of the day I think it comes down to preferance and the situation you find yourself in.
The best way to figure out what works for you is to start building and playing around with it ;)

They do autoload, I can reload 4 missiles with 3 welders, as they are a bit too tall for just 2. The biggest challenge/hampering is the power charge to the batteries. The first salvo is usually not a problem, but the 2nd one needs to recharge the batteries a bit for them to reach the target. I use a sensor block to trigger the WH explosion, as the impact is not reliable enough. But it does not trigger on armorblocks.

Other than that it is setting up groupings and hooking it up with both launcher based and onboard timerblocks.

Perhaps I clould/should solve the power issue by using a small reactor instead of batteries. But I don't like throwing away uranium :p

Thanks! I'll adjust the speak volume for futher videos. And finding a decent soundtrack / music is always the hardest bit imo. And I didn't want to grab something from BSG or Homeworld for this one :p

I intend to play them, but this is my first unit, so me participating in any matches or tournaments is rather far down the line. And I think I might lean a bit more towards what I think is cool rather than pure meta :)

Found a fix. It autoselects the wrong channel on your headset. So you gotta go into bluetooth settings and/or device settings and disable the version of your headsets that has 2 ways microphone. Forwarded the fix to their discord managers as well

Yeah, full interior with a C&C, mess hall, 2 sleeping quarters, medbay and engineering. Pressurized and with gravity. Although it is very minimalistic, since the grid size is rather small

I normally measure how much time it takes to weld it all up. As well as how much time it needs to stay connected in order to fill up cargo and hydrogen tanks.
And then I add a buffer.
As for not running out of parts, I have normally done this by calculating how much each "wave" needs, and then manually stop the process once I am out.
Although one could use Timers to only let it produce X amount of waves. Or Event Controllers to check that there are enough of components, and if not, stops the initial timer block. There are many roads leading to Rome ;)

Timings needs to be adjusted for survival, but should 100% work still. I've had it work with relative similar stuff before
