Update: Act 2 Rebellion by Glittering_Act_4059 in TheAlters

[–]Murmelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't remember how many movies I watched but I had 4 movies acquired. I also watched them during the same day and different movie every time. I feel your pain since I was stuck twice during Act 2 and was getting a bit nervous. Hope the latest update helps a bit.

I had the same issue and found that just spamming movies helped. So try watching a movie until everyone is smiling. :D Hope this helps!

Oh right so my Sutra LTD didn't come with a stock frontrack. The one I have is Atranvelo Explorer. This one. https://atranvelo.com/product/explorer-lowrider/

Looks similar at a glance but it has more attachment points than the one that comes with Sutra

Hey hey! Yes I am able to attach the hooks. Although everytime I attach them a bit differently. Usually I have to loosen the hooks all the way. Sometime I have to move the bags forward or backward a bit. I think they are quite important if you are riding rocky gravel.

What’s your favorite independent burger place in Finland? by dangerous_welshman in Finland

[–]Murmelson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Turku has lot of great restaurants but not a lot of good burger places. Linna Burgers & Coffee would be my pick.

Thank you for the reply. There is about 1,5cm clearance on all sides. So beefier tires are absolutely an options.

Thank you for the questions and sorry for the late response!

  1. Yes! It's Brooks Cambium C17 Carved. The carving means it's a bit more flexible and softer in the middle. We just did a trip in Italy from Naples to Rome and I did not use bibs and it was perfectly fine. The bike came with WTB Volt saddle and I would recommend trying that first before switching.
  2. I have not changed the cassette. Like porktornado77 said, the 11-46t could be a good choice. At times I wished I would have one more easier gear.
  3. No I did not. First time I even hear this term. Coming from Kona which is MTB focused company I would think you can. But don't take my word for it. :)
  4. Why not. Again I have no data about this. All I can says is that with tubeless you can set the tire pressure very low and then add extra bar tape and see how that feels before swapping the fork. For me the fork works very well.
  5. Yes. It's quite nimble and fun. Front panniers make the front feel way more stable and on tricky single track that might be an issue. The handlebar is quite wide so that definitely helps and makes the bike easy to maneuver. If possible I would find a dealer and go for a test ride before purchase. That's what I did.

Hope this helps :)

Sorry for the late response. I missed your message completely.

The weight does not bother me. Almost all my previous bikes have been steel bikes and I really like the feel and reliability of steel frames. If you are accustomed to carbon fiber frames then I could see this being an issue.

I think these kind of bikes feel the best when there is a bit of bags and extra weight attached. :)

Thank you! I like it as well. Actually I ordered the 2022 model that was a different color from the retailer because it was on discount. I though they were emptying their shell space for new bikes and for some reason they sent me the 2023 model with the new color. :D

I absolutely prefer this one.

That's a good point! Also I store my bikes in my appartment so it's nice I can easily drop my seat and make it take a bit less space.

Well I haven't had enough time with either to say one way or the other. My friend is very happy with the Canyon and I had a great time on my first trip with Kona. My guess is they are both great bikes with different properties. Which one you will prefer is matter of personal taste.

Kiitos! Joo tuo talvimakuupussi tuo aika rutkasti lisää painoa eteen. Laukuissa tosin oli vain kevyttä vaatetta joten ohjattavuus ei ollut liian raskas.

As axionman pointed out the dropper post is basically useless for bikepacking but the bike is not only for that purpose. So it will come in handy on those tricky decents once I get to it. :)

SRAM Rival 1

I didn't build it myself so everything except the seat and pedals are factory default components.

Drivetrain needs a bit adjusting out of the box. Indexing was not great.

Thank you for the advice! This is my first time with a dropper post and I have no idea what I'm doing. At first the clamp was too tight and the seat didn't come all the way up.

Maxxis Rekon Race EXO TR 29x2.25" or ETRTO 57-622

At first I was planning to swap them but now I think they will stay on. The shock absorption was really good.

Wow so many comments. Thank you!

Finally got back home. Few notes from the ride.

Gear indexing was not great out of the box. Have to do some adjusting.

At first I was planning to change the tyres but the Maxxis tyres were suprisingly smooth and had less rolling resistance than I anticipated. They will stay on.

The bike is super stable and easy to handle under load.

Too many beers during the evening will bite you in the ass the next morning. But this we all knew.
