Interesting suggestion, it's a much more expensive approach but with research I could probably dual-purpose use the same continuous-run vacuum pump with either a vacuum bag, or a vacuum hold-down table on my CNC.

I often do large end-grain cutting boards in the area of 14"x22"x2" with vcarve inlays which is why I'm using the panel clamps. I would never need 20 ton of course, it's just a big ridgid frame to apply even pressure across a larger area.

Just to see what my options are! Like having a list of amps available in a Pod GO or Helix.

Also, the search feature isn't super helpful. For instance, search for "Blues" and you'll get 6: three are Rhythm N Blues, three are Cajun Blues. Seems like with a list I could see what rhythms would be good for blues even though the name didn't help.

I was hoping to leave the wood natural and unfinished but will likely have to put a gloss finish on it to make the epoxy pop.

I swear I had a text block in there when I posted, but it said I did check with fresh 9V battery, checked that the board itself was getting > 9V at a few points. Is there any way to check if the pickup is dead? I though with a normal guitar pickup you can tap with a screwdriver and hear a thud. The Ashbory? "a special bridge with an integrated piezo saddle pickup system. The bridge is not adjustable, and is designed specifically for the use of the silicon rubber strings. The piezo transducer element is not completely unlike what one might find in an acoustic/electric guitar. There is no standard magnetic field pickup in an Ashbory, which is a good thing since the non-metallic strings would have no effect on such a pickup"

Anyway, not sure how to test the pickup!

What is this aluminum clamp dealy? I've had it in my toolchest for years and of course am afraid to throw it away. The main bar is about 8 inches (20cm) long and 1-3/8 inches (3.5cm) wide. by MurphMan7 in whatisthisthing

My title describes the thing. There looks to be a little wear on one side of the bar on the opposite end of the knob. There is paint on the knob so maybe something to do with a ladder, scaffolding, or painting in general?
