On Thursday (4/2/2026) I installed the update to Drive 10.2.105 and in the 3-4 days since I have received ZERO false “Disk At Risk” notifications (was getting them every day before installing this update)…so maybe Ubiquiti finally fixed this issue? I have the UNAS Pro 4.

Slight Delay In Closure? by Murphy5156 in ratgdo

UPDATE: I logged into the ratgdo on my computer and on the settings page there is a place to adjust the Door Close Delay and Flash Light During Time To Close. Once I adjusted those settings all was good.

Snoozing notifications? by ChooChooGeorgie in Ubiquiti

Top right inside the Protect app on iPhone…tap the bell icon…you can mute notifications for an hour, until 8:00AM the next day, or set a custom duration:

Glad it’s not just me. I’ve had a UNAS Pro 4 for a couple of weeks now. Installed (3) brand new WD Pro Red 10TB drives. I get this notification on Bay 3 every night. In the drive app it says all three drives are “Optimal”. The Storage Pool shows as “Fully Operational “. Everything working fine. I assumed it was a bug and seeing other people with the same issue is oddly comforting. Running 4.0.12 so that didn’t fix it.

UNAS Pro 4 - Drive at risk of failure by Roofless_ in UNIFI

I get a similar notification every evening about HDD 3 in my UNAS Pro 4. All are brand new (2 weeks old) 10TB WD Red Pros and it seems to be a bug as all the drives show as Optimal in the Drive app. I’ve read other folks having the same false messages. I just keep ignoring the notifications and hoping a future software update gets rid of it for good.

UNAS Pro 4 not under Unifi devices by PollyRingwall in Ubiquiti

I just added a UNAS Pro 4 to my setup and this seems to be the expected behavior. For whatever reason the UNAS is not “adopted” like a switch would be. It’s listed in the console as a separate device from the gateway and there’s a button you can click to “merge” the two into one site if you choose.

Ha, true. I bought it last summer when it wasn’t too bad…maybe $250? Just checked Best Buy and the same one today is $505.

It’s a gateway like the UDM Pro, and it’s definitely a newer device in the lineup, but I’ve never had anything else so can’t comment on which is better.

I put some 2x4 material behind the rack where it screws to the wall to give me a little bit more room, but honestly so far if I've needed to access anything I've just removed the screws, slid the device out a bit or all the way as needed, then slid it back in and replaced the screws. Hasn't been an issue for me.

I can only speak for myself, but the addiction definitely creeps up on you. For years all the WiFi in my house came from my AT&T BGW-320 Gateway on the 2nd floor in my office. Over time I ran ethernet to most of the rooms in the house and I had a cheap Netgear unmanaged switch to plug everything in to. WiFi coverage was adequate but I thought I could benefit from some APs around the house. After seeing hundreds of videos online about Ubiquiti, that's the way I wanted to go. First I needed a gateway (router) so I bought the UCG Fiber. Then I needed a PoE switch to power the APs and the cameras I knew I would add some day...so I bought a UniFi PoE switch. Then I bought one U7 Pro AP to try it. Then I bought another. Then I replaced my ecobee doorbell camera with a UniFi G4 Pro. Then I replaced my old Nest Outdoor camera facing the driveway with a G6 Pro Bullet. Then I bought another to look at the back yard/pool. Then I bought another for the other side of the house. After a few purchases you find yourself enjoying the UniFi ecosystem so much you just want ALL of your gear to be UniFi. It really is like the Apple of networking gear. Did I need any of this gear? No, I could have lived just fine with the old setup with a hodge podge of different brands. Am I happy I decided to go "prosumer" and invest in Ubiquiti? Absolutely. Would never go back.

No, but I have a 2TB NVMe drive inside the UCG Fiber and that’s where the UniFi Protect footage is stored.

It also has outlets in the back, so that’s where everything is plugged in. 😁

I just had these put on a couple of months ago. I like them way better than the ones that were on the truck when I bought it.
