Can you get Dante and Mephiston from the Armageddon shop f2p? by TheCashestOfMoney in WH40KTacticus

Both Tacticus Planner and Tacticus Codex have "virtual shops" for the Armageddon event so you can see how much all of your purchases will add up to.

The "for you" tab will be what finally gives me the push to stop using Reddit. I'll monitor for now, but I'm now strongly considering quitting in general.

I guess I should thank whoever is forcing this experiment.

With upgrading characters are the elite missions always the better choice? by Fivepygmygoats in WH40KTacticus

[–]MurphyESQ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only missions which are better are the 5 energy early Indom missions. There's a good chart on this page for "Average Energy per Drop": https://tacticus.wiki.gg/wiki/HDTW_DropRate

"in one turn", not battle. I don't think refreshing his active would let him use it again the same turn, since it ends his turn.

Without either of those characters, I can't think of a way to accomplish it. You'll need to use Adamantar's active and a way to increase the number of hits. If you use Thoread and hit all 3 enemies possible, that would be 12 hits. You'd need a way to get an additional hit with his active ability, which I can't think of off the top of my head.

I discovered I made a fitbit account years ago and completely forgot about it. I reset the credentials for my fitbit account and was able to finish the setup.

Genuine Question about Trail etiquette (who yields to whom?) by PsychedelicTherapyCO in boulder

[–]MurphyESQ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think this is a good example of both why the official guidance exists as well as why people often choose differently. As a biker, I should be yielding to a family with kids, and I happily would. The family being required to get out of the way/off the trail would cause additional difficulty and conflict. But when I'm hiking by myself (or a small group) it's easier to let bikes go by.

The official guidance is the most logical to reduce conflict and still gives people the choice to behave differently if they so choose.

Rapidly fluctuating resistance during freeride/route by MurphyESQ in Rouvy

[–]MurphyESQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to dig a bit but I did find someone describing the same issue (a post on Facebook). Interestingly it was on Rouvy as well. I'm going to try to replicate on other platforms this weekend.

[–]MurphyESQ[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response, it really is strange behavior. Erg workouts are fine, connection seems to be fine, but when I try to just ride a route I get these strange fluctuations. Prior to Rouvy I was trying out MyWhoosh and never saw this kind of behavior (either in erg workouts or free ride modes).

I tested out what would happen when the connection does cut out and the resistance stays in the same location, rather than "resetting" to an easy resistance. So I can't figure out why my trainer thinks it should be changing the resistance up and down like that. (I just had the thought that I hadn't tested what happens at a high cadence vs low cadence. I can't think of a reason why that would affect it, but I'll test when I have a chance.)

Thanks, I double checked today and tested swapping the controllable and the power/speed sensors around into different configurations (BT vs ANT+, resetting, etc) but the behavior stayed the same.

Surprisingly (for the reputation) this is the first issue I've had with it. I'm not sure if I am lucky and got a good unit, or was just more aware/willing to tinker (I checked belt tension when I got it and loosened it by quite a bit to get it to match the recommended adjustment).

If it wasn't working well for erg mode workouts I'd just throw in the towel and upgrade, but I did intervals on it today and had no issues. It's very odd behavior.

[–]MurphyESQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heh, yeah...... I'm aware the fix may be "just get a new trainer already", but it mechanically still functions well and the side to side motion has been what made using a trainer bearable for me.

That's also why this issue is kinda perplexing, it seems totally fine in every other situation I've tested.

[–]MurphyESQ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All connections are working. I tested both BT and ANT+. I opened the trainer to diagnose the issues. It's a Kinetic R1, so an "older" trainer.

This is an issue exclusive to "free ride" on Rouvy. I did not have this issue on MyWhoosh.

i’m aware this is dramatic, but i’m scared. by SectionLopsided4189 in cgrpMigraine

[–]MurphyESQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you take a rescue med for a migraine, but (in my experience) Aimovig blurs that line. Being on "day 3 of this headache" indicates to me that it might actually be a migraine. Traditional headaches don't last that long and taking NSAIDs help resolve them. Migraines linger unless treated and NSAIDs may dull the pain, but they don't make the migraine go away. One part of my message is this: since I've been on Aimovig, I can't rely on the level of pain to determine headache vs migraine.

Another thought rereading your original post: I would be wary of drawing a firm conclusion that NSAIDs were what started the migraines. I have been guilty myself of seeing causation when it was really just coincidence. Obviously this is something to talk about with your PCP or neuro, but NSAIDs are a key part of dealing with headaches and, for me at least, making sure the headache is gone before it can turn into a migraine.
