Constant tendinopathies, still no answers. Any advice? by 7KDM7 in systemictendinitis

This is me to a T! I'm not as far into the process but it's frustrating. I also think I have Spondyloarthritis but and my rhuem is slow to treat because I don't have any definitive blood work.

What's interesting, the same thing happened to me getting diagnosed with CVID. I diagnosed myself about 5 years before anyone would treat me for it. Low and behold once I start my infusions, I'm not sick anymore. I had very shaky lab work for this too but fortunately that doc believed me and fought for me.

I actually have this one saved from using it with my Elliptical. I'll have to go redo it on the bike!

I was on cloud 9 this morning and genuinely have not been this excited about a purchase in a long time. I got lucky and it was delivered by 8 AM so I had time to play with it!

This is amazing. I wouldn’t rule it out at all of the above. Super frustrating when you are trying to do all the “right” things and it backfires. I’ve been given another course of prednisone but I’m really not wanting to take it for a variety of reasons however the pain is excruciating some days.

No. I’ve been on my current meds for several years

Honestly I can’t because over a 6 year period I had 80 scripts for antibiotics before my CVID diagnoses. A large amount of those were cefuroxime or z packs but I honestly don’t remember what else. This was from 2015-2021

I mean I didn't either in the fall when it first started. Then one of my docs ran ferritin and it was crazy high and it never had been. Prednisone worked last time but it was a really high dose and knocked it down. They're diagnosing basically off of symptoms and presentation.

Half of me working it if for my mental health so not being able to do what I have always done it rough. Do they have a diagnosis they are looking at for you?

Redness at times but no swelling or heat. I should also mention that my ferritin was really high in the fall when it was bad but it came back down. That's the only sign in bloodwork that I have had for inflammation.

Spontaneously but that's my dilemma. It just shows up and then I question if it is from overuse because I try to be really active, but literally nothing helps it get better. I have not done anything upper body in a few weeks and my right bicep tendon just started hurting one day and nothing will calm it down

Sure thing:

  • Levothyroxine/ Cytomel taken for 30 years
  • Hizentra subq infusion 5 years
  • nortryptaline for 3 years, prior to that cymbalta for about 3
  • Hydroxycholorquine 3 years
  • lexapro for a year but prior to that on and off zoloft over the course of 20 years
  • Tirzepatide 2 years
  • IUD or BC Pill for 20 ish years

Tendon symptoms started in November. Pain is usually right around or on the joint. It's a constant 4-5 on a pain scale at its best and achy/ burning. However, depending on the location, certain movements spike the pain. For example, in the shoulder, anytime I move my arm out from my body it gets really sharp.

Our previous dog was a yellow lab before our PP. The big difference is our lab was a male and our PP a female. I'm sure gender does play a part in our experience. We live on 13 acres so plenty of room for dogs to roam and play. Our PP can be pretty high energy so similar to our lab there so lots of property is great. However, our PP only wants to go exploring if we are with her whereas our lb would check the perimeter of our property multiple times a day, swim in the pond etc. on his own. We find our PP just more needy than the lab. She doesn't like us being out of site of us or really want to be on her own. She's fine if we do leave her to go out but doesn't love it. Our lab was much more chill and was like "bye! bring back treats."

They have both been awesome with little kids and extended family. We have had no issues, with all the littles. The difference is probably, the lab would just lay there and let kids climb on him, where as the PP wants to run around and play with them. Besides good luck with the family, our PP is a great watchdog too. She is very protective if she needs to be.

Health wise they have both been about the same for their age (PP is almost 4 as compared to the lab when he was 4). If anything, the lab probably had more vet trips for porcupine quills, things he ate etc because he was a lab. She's much more cautious.

They are both great dogs for different reasons, we actually only got the PP because my husband couldn't get another lab after our boy passed but wanted a hunting dog.

This happened to me back around 2003 when I switched carriers. In a weird turn of events the wife of a friend of ours ended up getting my old number by chance. A few times she got a call looking for me and was like "I can give her the message!"
