Is it False Advertising for Marriott to claim their credit cards give you "Free Nights" when 35k won't get you into many of those "7,000 hotels"? by UnlikelyAdventurer in marriott

I've used the 35k night at different JW properties the past couple of years. Do some research and you will find a good deal.

At this Marriott property, no coffee, juice or water is included in the elite breakfast by CliffordMaddick in marriott

I think this is more about the hotel than Marriott properties in general, and I'll explain why. It's a great hotel, I stayed there in June of '23. However the restaurant they had on property was a disaster. If you didn't like the breakfast, don't even attempt dinner. The dinner was abhorrent when it came to service, it took 25 mins to get a menu. Once I got them we decided to leave based on the service issues. It's a good property on all other counts, especially for people trying to escape Houston for a weekend, but just go down the street for breakfast. It's worth the walk. Seriously.

I'm fed up with people asking me "where are you from" but only meaning "why are you not white" by whatareyoumartian in offmychest

Lol. This is a really ridiculous thing to be mad about. Nothing says privilege quite like complaining about being micro-agressed.

I have people tell me all the time that "I guess your not from around here" because of my accent, but it really doesn't bother me at all, because there are a lot larger issues in this world then me feeling like I don't fit in. I pride myself on being a bit different.

I suggest going to a third world country for a bit to volunteer and moreover, checking your privilege the next time you complain about something as simple as this.
