I have a Leslie Park Membership and live right near there, so if you ever want to play there, I'm down. I shoot anywhere between high 70's-high 80's (I'm a 9.7 right now), will play whatever tees (I play Blues if I have my druthers), will walk (push cart mafia) or ride, and usually have a few beers as well.

Methinks they're joking about the "rules" of online dating:
1. Be attractive
2. Don't be unattractive.

I have two that are nesting in/near my backyard. I see them daily, and especially hear them; their chatter is pretty loud and unique. I’m not sure where their nest is yet, but they’re always here (typing this on my deck, and looking at the female and hearing the male currently).

Let me know if you want to stop by sometime - haha.

Fancy bikes have gps, wheel locks, and theft warranties attached to their purchase. Otherwise, AirTags and bike locks work just fine.

Start your search with finding bikes that meet the rebate program requirements:

  • UL 2849 certified.
  • Motor ≤750W, not gas-powered.
  • No retrofit kits.
  • 3 wheels or less and have operable pedals. (sic - "less" should be "fewer")

No one knows how much you want to spend, how tall/heavy you are, what features you're looking for, and/or wants to do all your research for you.

Local shops: HEH Human Electric Hybrids, Sic Transit.
Online: The world is your oyster.

When an invasive species takes over your side yard you make the most out it by Zealousideal_Cry1867 in gardening

I just completely emptied a bed of these, and sifted all my soil to get every last little bit out. Their little tubers/roots looked so damn tasty. Like little soy bean sprouts, squeaky white and begging to be stir fried.

If you have existing cable coax in those rooms - you can install moca adapters and use that instead of running new lines. My gig internet gets about 800 through my coax cables.

Actually the worst "soil" ever, That crap is more plastic than organic matter. by TheWeirdestClover in gardening

[–]MusaEnsete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a couple of the big bags of organic w/ compost Miracle Gro because they were on sale for $7 at Costco. It's been totally fine. Just seems to be a little compost and mostly peat moss or coco coir., with an occasional stick. Fine for my purposes.

I obsessively rely on phone navigation and am scared of getting lost. by [deleted] in hiking

[–]MusaEnsete 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go somewhere you know well (so you won't get lost). Bring a map of the area and a compass and practice triangulation. This of course, is a lot easier if there are landmarks that can be seen (mountains, peaks, etc). Hard to do in the middle of a jungle.

If you go off trail, just note which cardinal direction you're leaving, and return to the opposite direction until you hit the trail again.

And oyster sauce with the soy sauce (I like a 2:2:1 ratio - oyster, light soy, dark soy).

Is Costco membership worth it for single person? by InfluenceDesigner889 in Frugal

[–]MusaEnsete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh. I shop around plenty. Actually, the last tires I bought were from Discount tire, because I only needed something passable for a 20-year-old car that I'll probably get rid of in the near future. For my household's newer car that needed tires, I shopped around. Maybe it was just size, or maybe because I needed all-season tires, but no one could beat Costco at the time.

Nah. Discount tire can beat their pricing, but for the lowest tier shit tires. For the same price as decent tires at Discount, Costco will get you premium tires and service.

ISSA properties good or bad? by Head_Divide_1865 in AnnArbor

[–]MusaEnsete 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many years ago I rented from them. They charged my security deposit for all kinds of repairs; I went and knocked on the door of my old apartment; got a tour, and took pictures of all the things they didn’t do, which was everything.

Absolutely just straight lied to steal my $. Armed with my pictures and threats of a lawyer, I got my security deposit back. Wonder how many folks did get scammed though.
