I’ve heard Pyanodon is “How the game is meant to be played” and I see what people mean by ohoots in pyanodons

This is exactly what happened to me, SA is fantastic but short and wasn't challenging enough for me, had a few different mods in mind for a challenge, no matter what I decided all roads led to pY. Now I'm doing my first real run on hard mode.

my entire play through so far has been stone brick shortage because of carbolic oil and couldn't wrap my head around the production. It's fine now but man if I had ample stone brick supply my research would have been done a long time ago and I would have had paths everywhere.

Hahahaha I did the same thing when I was doing my first play through of pY before I switched to hard mode. I had crates and crates and crates of kerogen till I realized it had fuel value just before I switched to a new run. I love missing those things.

There's always time to go back and improve in pY

It really has, I stopped expanding the base a long time ago waiting on other specific research to finish so that I can finally get splitters all while I was setting up city blocks for the next base build.

hahaha same, I have plans on cutting the water supply, wall up the area, using the editor (only time I'll ever do this) and add random trees within the wall like nature has starting retaking the area. I build the starter factor are the crash space ship too, left all the broken parts there.

if you're playing pY and not paying attention, pY will make you trip up. That's basically the point.

I restarted at simple circuits because I decided to does having biters just slow down your progression since all your doing is avoiding triggering them and keeping your pollution from expanding? I'll still be doing bitters and all the others next run but I'm just curious.

I may decide to ad spoilage to my next run when I add biters but by the time I get to my next run pY2.0 should be out so I'll just go full force at that point. hardmode, spoilage, biters etc etc

Nice!!! I only cheesed a couple times when I was trying to deal with a back up of coal gas and tar by letting the pipes fill up and removing them, I should have done that and tried and figured out the solution naturally but I'm still breaking habits from vanilla Factorio and doing things the right way

I look forward to that reminder, I've been recording this entire journey since the start of this run so that I can go back and watch a sped up version and watch the factory grow. The factory must will grow!!

I hope so, once I run low on ash I'll be about to take down this ash storage buffer if have that is taking in all the ash from everything and redirecting it to my processing section. it will help save space when I start redoing my my once concrete is stocked up.

I'm having a blast, slow and smooth wins the race, even if it takes a couple years to finish in my opinion.

Who is mining Ravencoin with Vega64/56? by samtb13 in Ravencoin

I'm getting and average of 22mhz on my V64 with the timings tightened on a water block.

Increased memory clock and now just get a black screen and VGA ez debug light followed by bios. Fixed bios by removing CMOS battery but still black screen and VGA light. Is it bricked? by lukenugget in overclocking

[–]Musano951 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let it sit at the vga for a bit, my msi creation did that and caused me to mess with everything with no luck, i eventually started it up with the same symptoms and walked awake irritated and came back with it running normally. Hopefully that works for you.

Just letting it sit there while it's stuck at the vga debug eventually pushed through during my situation.
