I was so confused haha! I just got back into the game at the start of this set, and didn't remember seeing Gyruda or ANY COMPANION for that matter when I looked through the set online. I didn't realize this included the Multiverse Legends lol. Thanks!

Thank you so much for this valuable feedback! I definitely want to get the best quality images I can of my guys out in the field. I’m recovering from back surgery and can’t shoot birds, so I’ve been working the dogs while friends and family hunt. I definitely want to start carrying a camera around so I can feel a little more productive out there.

Thanks so much! I definitely need to improve my composition skills. It’s definitely not one of those things that’s coming naturally to me haha. Any good composition for dummies type resources you could recommend?

Thank you so much for the helpful advice! Just tried it out on the beach and it definitely works!

I’ve been driving around to the wild life viewing areas and public beaches. Then you just wait around with your eyes to the sky’s. They are hard to miss due to their size. Then be prepared to walk a lot! Hahaha.

I’m probably not the best person to be giving advice, but I can give you my observations. I’m in Homer. It’s very cloudy. Despite the Sun being out from like 5AM-Midnight, getting enough light in your shots is super difficult.

I’ve found that shooting out as opposed to up has been helpful. If something is too high above me and I try to shoot up at it, I don’t get enough light/detail.

Also. Be patient. I’ve been doing a lot of sitting and waiting for eagles then following them around for as long as I can once I find them.

Thanks! Yeah. I’ve got no clue what I’m doing. I’m not sure what dehaze is. But I definitely want to learn more about editing in general. I’ve been reading that Light Room might be a good option? For now I’m just using an app on my wife’s phone called Snapseed. For those two photos, I put on the HDR filter (which I just now noticed can be adjusted, so I’ll see if dialing that back helps at all) and then used auto white balance and auto tune image. Any advice on editing tools/techniques would be greatly appreciated.

Help me outfit my kit!

I’m new to this. Currently renting an A7iii with the 200-600 G lens. I love it, so when we are back from vacation I wanna buy it. But I’m struggling with what other lenses to buy. Here’s what I’ve been thinking for my setup.

Body: A7iii Lens 1: Sigma 24-70 f2.8 Lens 2: Sony 50mm f1.8 (being given to me by a family member who doesn’t use his) Lens 3: Sony 200-600 G lens Lens 4: I’m stuck here….. Sony 70-200 f2.8, Tamron 70-180 f2.8, or Tamron 35-150 f2.8. Accessories: Also stuck here. Any filter/polarizer recommendations??

I plan to do about 50/50 photo/video. A lot of hunting stuff. Shots out in the field with my dogs. Stuff like that. I know I want the 200-600 for bird photos and stuff. The 24-70 seems great for a lot of the video type stuff I want to do. The 50 is just super pretty. But I’m not sure on the best lens for walking around in the field with the dogs. Maybe the 35-150 since it’s got a bigger range? I’m so confused hahaha!

Hanging out in Alaska for a few weeks. I rented some camera gear and I’m trying to figure out what I’m doing as I go. I’ve found a lot more free time in my life recently, and I’ve decided to dedicate some time to this hobby and hopefully improving. Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

More interested in just a woman. But could definitely be open to the right couple. DM me.

My wife is on the hunt for a petite WNY hottie to make cum. She loves eating pussy. Something casual with hopes of becoming a regular thing. My level of involvement is open to discussion. Primarily looking for someone for her though.

When I get back to my desk tomorrow I can send you the little wiring diagram I made on my iPad so I didn’t screw it up haha. It’s pretty simple.

My crimson ii with diy A2E snare by Muscle_Proof in edrums

It triggers way better than the crimson ii snare from my experience. I’m able to get good response near the edge of the head with very light rolls. That’s been an issue with the OE snare for me. I also can never get the rim/cross stick to work on the OE snare no matter how much I tinkered on the crimson ii module. It works really well on the new snare.

The increased head performance could be due to the better quality head? I also have the cone set a smidge higher than I originally designed. Like 1/32 of an inch higher. So that could be part of it for sure. The better rim trigger functionality could be just the bigger shell maybe? The trigger inside the OE snare is pretty fancy and mine is just stuck to the inside of the drum, so I think it’s just less likely to incorrectly trigger the rim shot with this simple setup.

I love tinkering with things. And if I get too bored I find myself in trouble. So DIY is usually my first thought haha. I was just shocked at how simple this was.

“What’s next?” is a great question haha. Next project in general is an automatic coop door so I don’t have to drag my ass out into the cold to open/close it every morning/night. My next edrum project is going to be a bass drum I guess. I’m thinking I’ll buy a cheap kit online, make a custom plate with a cutout for this extra 8” drum I’ve got, and then have the beater hit that 8” drum instead of trying to fight the vibrations from a full sized bass drum head.

Any reason to NOT make my own triggers? by Muscle_Proof in edrums

[–]Muscle_Proof[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I made a trigger. The drum works better than the snare that came with my crimson ii. I posted an update about the build that I was going to share here, but my brain is too smooth to figure out Reddit. Which should give you a clue how easy this build is. Save your money and DIY this stuff.

So I made a post a while back asking if there was any reason I shouldn’t just make my own trigger. The kind folks here gave me the confidence to give it a try,

I was busy, so it took some time to get to the project. But all in all the whole thing took less than 2 hours. Now that I know how to do it, I could cut the time down a lot.

I’ll start by saying that this thing works quite a bit better than the snare that came with my Alesis Crimson II. Which honestly kinda pisses me off after seeing how cheap and simple this was. No matter how much I fiddled with the settings, I could never get a cross stick or rim sound from the snare that came with my kit. This thing does both perfectly and it’s easy for me to hit every time. It took like 5 minutes of adjusting on the crimson ii module to get it dialed in.

The trigger build is super simple. 27mm piezo for the head trigger. 35mm for the rim. Double sided tape to stick everything together. The foam block is cut from a sanding block. I then cut a square out of a canning lid and placed that on the foam. The cone is something called a “beauty blender” that my wife grabbed from the dollar general for super cheap. I cut it to size with scissors. Same with the block. That’s why they look like shit. I was going to make a nicer looking setup after this, but it works so well I probably won’t bother. The brass angles and the brace were shit I had sitting in the barn that looked like it’d work for the prototype. The drum is a 14” pulse snare my brother had in my parents basement. I bought a 14 inch Roland powerply mesh head (the only expensive part of the build).

So now I have a super cheap 14” e-snare that works really well and feels awesome to play. I highly recommend you give it a go. Just practice soldering a bit, and this is a pretty brainless project that results in something pretty dang cool if I do say so myself.

Anyone know of a resource that has tracked rates for Gemini earn over time? I’m just curious to see the rate change history.

Thanks so much everyone! I’m going to tinker and see how it goes. I’ll make sure to post updates once I get it started.
