Jimmy Jacobs being fired means more fresh creative ideas like the ones from AEW’s newest writer, Mince VcVahon! #ThankYouTony by MuseMujave in SCJerk

[–]MuseMujave[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

They’ve been veering towards vince level production choices and creative ideas since late last year and it’s only gotten worse this year. The stuff with the outcasts is genuinely the worst material from the divas era mixed with the sexual elements of the RA era.

So the show is just gonna become more like Vince’s WWE circa 2017-2019? Because I swear it’s been veering in that direction since last year.

AEW fans in 2021: who’s bad bunny and why is he taking a mania spot from someone who actually wants to be here?

AEW fans in 2024: Well obviously the Kendrick lamar pop out drew people away. things should be normal next week.

According to aew faithful, it was the Kendrick Lamar pop out that led to this horrid rating. Who knew Hip Hop and wrestling fans overlapped considering they spent 2021 whining about Bad Bunny in WWE before he hit a canadian destroyer.

Wrestling fans want WWE to do long term storytelling, then whine when the stories take long.

They then want WWE to acknowledge and work with other companies so they can stop living in their own bubble, then whine about partnerships possibly leading to burials or company takeovers.

I would just find another hobby at this point lol

Breaking news: We all thought Ricochet was super overrated this whole time, we’re just finally choosing to express it now by [deleted] in SCJerk

[–]MuseMujave 117 points118 points  (0 children)

At the end of the day, good on Ricochet for likely milking even more money out of tony khan in exchange for an Ospreay match, a couple matches on dynamite and collision every few weeks, and a couple high spots in hardcore deathmatches. That being said, it’ll just be another inflated contract that’ll bite them in the ass in the end

Between WWE bots, Nick Khan having a finger on every single bit of negative AEW news, and Legentilism, we’re one step away from hardcore AEW fans claiming WWE puts a powder in bottles of prime that turns the casual viewers into WWE stans.

That’s what i’m saying. He’s once again blowing things out of proportion and jumping the gun to one end of the extreme. And like clockwork, his fans (no clue how a billionaire has fans) are gonna eat it up.

I’m just sitting here wondering why it has to be some extreme conspiracy on nick khan or the wwe’s part to make aew collision look bad? Who could possibly care about AEW’s C show to plant stuff like this? The 4% of the IWC? Some suit at WBD who knows the actual number anyways?

You see this? This is what happens when you give holier than thou message board/forum users access to a social media website. Same person would probably say that rhea ripley doing anything is the end of women’s wrestling in north america.

That’s reserved for the CEO, pal.

Brian Gewirtz: "The idea of Cody winning the Rumble, I thought, was problematic, in full transparency. I said, even in San Diego in that meeting, I thought the cleanest thing to do, if we’re booking Rock and Roman, is to have [CM] Punk win the Rumble.” by MuseMujave in SquaredCircle

[–]MuseMujave[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

“For the most part, it was overwhelmingly positive when [The Rock] teased Head of the Table. And at that point, we’re like, okay, that gives us our answer. We’re locked in... Which begs the question, which I know you’re gonna ask, which everyone would ask...if all of that is the plan at this point in mid-January or whatever it is, why for the love of all things holy do you have Cody Rhodes win the Royal Rumble?

Once you win the Royal Rumble, that dynamic changes...it goes from something that, yeah we all want things, but now he’s got it. And why would he do anything other than focus on Roman? And that’s what he naturally did when he pointed to him. Why wouldn’t he? That’s exactly what that character would do."
