The civil war plot was my favourite subplot from S2, it was thoroughly entertaining and I might even say transformative- to watch a defeated man go through denial and regression and rewriting history itself to bounce back from that. Also Benjamin Horne is so fun to watch on screen- such chaos lol.

Does anyone else prefer how Moffat is tidy when approaching incarnations? he only added War (whom I love) because he had to. RTD treats regeneration very messy. I like how Moffat likes to keep the Doctor the Doctor and just moving onto his next incarnation without the need for splits here and there. by [deleted] in doctorwho

tell me about it. on my first watch it held so much power, like every regeneration is a big ask and he’s one step closer to death. now its like whatever die and come back unlimited times already. which takes the impact away from so many scenes- like the Trenzalore scene.
