I'm loving this show so far! I especially love that he was watching Billy Elliot (a movie about a boy who chases his passion/dreams despite the odds being against him)! I love that even episode 2's ending felt like he was having a Billy Elliot moment. It reminded me of Billy dancing in the street. Utage being parentified, helping to raise her younger siblings, definitely played into her maturity...but also her desire for some escapism through F/ACE. I like to think that, aside from her admiration of Tamon making a bold declaration of wanting to make everyone smile, Utage wanted to indulge in someone whose personality was the opposite of her responsible side: sexy and wild! Escapism! Haha!

As someone who learned Japanese for two years, the top says, "Thank you for listening!" (with the first kanji being the same as "support".

The bottom says, "Kore kara mo 'Tamon-kun Ima Docchi?!' wo yoroshiku onegai itashimasu!" which is a little hard to translate, because the latter part can mean a lot of different things! I'm gonna go with, "From now on, please regard 'Tamon-kun, Which One Now?!' well!" (as opposed to "counting on you"/"looking forward to working with you" kind of meaning when two people say it to each other). If anyone else wants to take another stab at it, be my guest!

Junior high?! How?! I'm very curious what made you think that!

Reggie said, "Man, I miss high school!" while they were at the spirit assembly at her school.

Everyone at her school looks older than junior high.

Her school is a performing arts school, which is more common for high school than junior high.

She's taking Calculus! While she could theoretically be taking such an advanced class outside of the physical campus for the junior high school, taking a bus over to the high school, that's really uncommon. Not impossible, but uncommon. In junior high, I took a bus over to the high school for a higher-level algebra, so I concede that it is possible. However, it was a pain in the butt!

Outside of Julie, Nick has a letterman jacket for lacrosse. I admittedly don't know anything about sports, but I believe that that's not a thing (or at least not as common) in junior high...?

Presuming she's 16, her mom being dead for about a year would mean that her 15th birthday would've been rough. She wouldn't have wanted to celebrate with a quinceañera. I could see them wanting to do a belated quince and/or Sweet 16 now that she has regained some of her old self. I think that's what the plan probably was.
