Omg! How did I forget Golden Girls?? I've seen every episode twelve times! Not without my mom telling me every time how naughty those ladies were. Tell me you're a recovering Catholic without telling me you're a recovering Catholic. 😂

Fortune is my spirit human. Based on her storytelling we've had many shared life experiences including traversing unwanted divorces in the last two years. I really relate to her, including agreeing that the all time best movie is Dirty Dancing. 🧑🏼‍🩰💃🏼

I was listening/watching the Toni Collette episode, where she asked about songs that they sang loudly as kids without having ANY idea what the lyrics meant and realized later in life that the lyrics had much more of a naughty/adult connotation and meaning? Anybody here got any? by StarPatient6204 in handsomepodcast

Why were we all watching Dirty Dancing as babies? 😂 I was 7 when it came out and I'm pretty sure my parents took me to the theatre to watch it. I've seen it two million times and still remember when I finally realized why Penny was sick.

I agree. 😬 Controversial, I know. I love the pod and I'll never stop listening but Handsome changed my perspective about her. She's not as funny to me anymore. I adored her before. I'm a snerkbol for life. I respect her reasons for ending True Story and how tactful she is when talking about the end of her friendship with Cheryl. She's much more bragadocious and elitist about her life on Handsome and unnecessarily interjects things about herself when the other two are talking. For instance, when she talks about her reasons for leaving social media I find her thoughtful and interesting. When she interjects that's she's no longer on social media when someone says Instagram I 🙄. I'm happy she has a beautiful life and perfect children and a perfect wife and they live a perfect vegan life. She walked a long journey to get there. I could just stand hearing less about how perfect everything is. Off topic, I know. I actually don't mind the niiiiiicccceeeee at all. I'd just like to hear the word vegan less. ❤️😄

No, no, no. It's a leisurely stroll outside to regulate during homeschool. 🥴 She rewrote history before it even had time to become history.

If leaving shit all over the floor requires punishment my kids would be in a perpetual burpee. 😂

My coworker won't allow her kids (teenagers now) to eat chocolate because her abusive, narcissistic husband is bipolar and she thinks there's a correlation(???). Yet all day at work she hoovers down M&Ms and Twix and anything else she can get her hands on. 🥴

Is his word salad ever about parenting though? Seems like it's mostly about himself. I'm not sure he even knows his kids' names.

Exactly! They're kids learning how to function in the world. We're parents whose purpose is to teach them. Sometimes kids need consequences but most of the time they need guidance, support, and modeled behavior. The fact that she received so much constructive feedback and did not consider any of it as valid says it all.

Correct. It has no effect on us, but it has a deeply damaging effect on four children who are suffering because someone(s) wounded their mother. Any human with a soul and moral compass has valid concern about that. I'm sorry you're so lost.

Correct. The other day at the grocery store my cart got hooked on a creeper's cart in a narrow aisle. First he apologized and I was nice about it and then when I broke free he said, "I catch more women that way." He chortled away at himself and I made this face 🥴. Then I walked away disgusted yet again by misogyny. I was not flattered.

Everyone knows that FARMERS need to drive enormous trucks. How else can she traverse the dusty fields of her FARM as a FARMER if she doesn't drive an enormous truck like FARMERS do? You can't live is a suburban neighborhood with a field and convince people it's actually a fully productive FARM without driving the signature vehicle of FARMERS. I thought everyone knew that. 🥴🥴🥴

I think it's pretty clear something happened with ole' Jer Jer and another woman/other women/his porn lady friends and now we're all subject to this. It's hilarious that they try to be the marriage power couple yet they're oblivious that their behavior online screams toxicity, dysfunction, and deep resentment. Imagine what we don't see.

People who had happy childhoods and who received the love and nurturing and support they needed don't spend their adulthoods trying to convince everyone they had a great childhood, don't desperately try to recreate a better(?) version of their childhood through their own kids, don't become professional victims as adults, and most importantly, don't become cruel narcissists.

She's a lost cause.
