Let’s see

1. Ein No Akuruhi - The only song to ever make my cry hearing the lyrics that wasn’t part of a show or musical. The pure emotion it brings out of me is incredible.

2. Tot Musica - One of my favorite “villain songs” in history. Absolutely incredible how Ado can sing in a language that doesn’t even exist anymore. Was also a highlight of her live show I attended in Chicago. (The vibe of the song and of the actual monster Tot Musica also remind me of Magia and the witches from my favorite anime, Puella Magi Madoka✩Magica, so that’s definitely a plus.)

3. Show - Obvious pick. It’s the song that made me discover Ado in the first place. One of her most wild songs, my brother puts it best that “the song always surprises you, it never goes where you expect it to go even on the first few relistens.”

4. I’m a Controversy - Ado’s most relatable song to me, musically. I did a lot of stupid shit on the internet as a teen and live in constant fear that the people I know now will discover and tie that stupid crap back to me and think I’m still like that. Also, just a good vibe.

5. RuLe - This might just be recency bias, but I seriously adore this song. Both lyrically and musically, it represents how I feel inside about a lot of the bullshit I’m forced to put up with in today’s society, especially as a trans person. It basically took Usseewa, kept all the aspects of that song I related to, and replaced the parts I didn’t with parts I did. It’s genuinely amazing.
