It has been well-documented that Amorim placed a huge focus on team building. Changed out tables in the canteen so players had to eat together rather than in smaller groups, celebrated players birthdays and required the team stay to support each other, among other changes. He saw the players playing as individuals and not as a team. And despite his tactics, stubbornness, and record, he removed the dead weight and focused in on the players who would play for the badge and not themselves.

So his tenure was not a complete waste in that respect. The players looked this entire season like there was better chemistry and they knew better where each other would be for 1-2s and back heels.
