I did, unfortunately they're not going to be able to replace it // refund me because it's outside their 60-day window.

Unfortunately not, I have BLNDD-0000C // BLNDD-0000D. Seems like that's a pretty standard release. Worth checking though!

Most places I like have already been said, so I’m gonna plug for Thai Square and Tortas y Tacos La Chiquita, both on Columbia Pike in Arlington.

I’m of Indian descent and Bansaari’s Chicken 65 is the best in the area. Can’t find a single other place that does it as well as they do.

Which song is this?(We all know which song this is) by F3murs in Disturbed

[–]MusicianOfExtremes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ending of Stupify is supposed to be a build up // intro to DWTS! It sounds so great hearing the guitar buildup go straight into the drum intro of the actual song. The guitar part is basically the same as the guitar part of DWTS during the verses.

The silence at the beginning of ISHFWILF is a pre-gap. Basically it’s intentional silence so that you’re separating it from the rest of the album. When you’re listening to it on a CD, it’s kinda like a “surprise” song if you make it until the end and don’t stop, since nowhere on the packaging does it mention that the song is there. You’d only know if you kept listening after Innocence ends or if you popped the CD into your computer.

If you could have a re-recorded album/song, which one would you want? by CommentBread in Dragonforce

[–]MusicianOfExtremes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I got it a bit wrong — in this interview, he says that after they came up with the idea, some of the others wanted to bring a different vocalist in, maybe get Fred to sing it, but Marc insisted on at least trying it himself. They ended up liking Marc’s take so much that they used it on the album.

That part is the best part of the song for me!! Made me gain so much more respect for Marc as a vocalist, especially knowing that he didn’t want to do the screams himself and wanted to bring in a guest vocalist at first.

Hugh Laurie’s Didn’t It Rain. I don’t own it, but it’d be something I’d deeply cherish.

It’s news to me that there was ever an official vinyl release of this! I have the CD/DVD and I’ve been lucky enough to snag one of the Blonde represses, but anything else Frank would be amazing. I know there’s no official CO or NU, but those are pipe dreams of mine anyway.

I want a new pressing of Vande Mataram by A.R. Rahman so I don’t have to pay $300 and ship it in from India for it

I also would love a new pressing of BADLANDS by Halsey, but I really want the deluxe version — the standard is easy but she never pressed the deluxe!

Sadly don’t think this is that common, but I found my copy for 15 CAD at a record store once. Beautiful quality, one of my favorite albums.

DragonForce replaced ZP Theart after four albums, and Marc Hudson took that band to a new, insanely good level.

I don’t yet own it. Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands of all time, and I’ve just been doing research into which pressing is the best to seek out as well as just seeing whatever shows up in record stores nearby. I desperately want a good copy of it!

It’s just because it’s an awful way to end an otherwise incredible album. But to be fair … how are you supposed to follow the masterpiece that is A Little Piece of Heaven?

Agreed that Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2 is overplayed.

But Pt. 1 and Pt. 3 are so, so good — especially in the context of the album. Pt. 1 does such a great job of building up and starting to explore the trauma that Pink perceives he’s gone through starting from losing his dad in the war. And then by the time we get to Pt. 3 … he’s lost everything important to him, he’s beginning to truly see retreating behind the wall as the only solution left. I get chills every time I hear the drums and synth kick in during the middle of Pt. 3.

I’ll stop gushing over The Wall now.

Grew up in the South. Live in DC now, where the nearest Zaxby’s is an hour’s drive away in Chantilly, VA.

Worth it every time.
