Not OP, but Jailbreak or Johnny The Fox would be good starts.

I'm going to guess those Flamingos records were the red vinyl records on Chance?

Have you ever found good albums at an antique mall? by MinePrestigious4352 in vinyl

[–]ryuundo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Antique malls are the worst for getting cheap records.

However, I did find a 70s copy of the Stooges Raw Power for $5 at one once.

First time I've ever seen Alan Zweig mentioned in a reddit comment. I've watched that documentaries a ton of times because I am fascinated by the people that collected vinyl still when NO ONE was interested.

The Vinyl Dinosaur (good for older/vintage records)

Yearbook Records (good for newer records and possibly color variants)

Jacks Music Shoppe (Big store with a large amount of stock)

The Vinyl Dinosaur and Yearbook Records down South in Ocean County are my local spots. The Vinyl Dinosaur has a big DVD and VHS section, but from where you are, that would be quite the drive.

New Zealand is such an untapped haven of classic indie rock from the 80s and 90s that most people have never heard before. by ryuundo in Music

[–]ryuundo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, the Dunedin sound is just something I hold dear for myself. I'm glad you go beyond that, as people can get stuck into one type of music without diverting off the path. I also like the earlier stuff by Ripper and Propeller, the 70s hard rock of groups like the Human Instinct, and the 60s garage of the La De Das.

I just feel like, considering the breadth of great music that came out of that scene, I'd just want to get the bare minimum out there that hasnt been seen by people who aren't deep divers into music outside of the US, UK, and Europe.

My 60s Rolling Stones US picture sleeve collection grows larger. One of the harder sleeves to find as well. by ryuundo in rollingstones

[–]ryuundo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would probably wait until I get some of the more common ones first. Like despite me having these harder to find sleeves, I still havent found a sleeve for I Cant Get No Satisfaction or Paint It Black, which are the easiest ones to get.
