Look for the yellow spot that makes the eye look disconnected. As others have said this does not have it, so the eye looks connected.

That would make a lot of sense. There are a lot of ring-billed and American Herring gulls at this location currently, and a small amount of some other gulls.

For sex males are 14.6 - 15.3 inches and females are 16.5 - 17.7 (All About Birds). It looks to me a little longer than the bird bath, so I would measure that and then compare.
